- RazzyBthefirstMacclesfield, UK1,522 contributionsThe only drawback with taking this ferry is all the tour sellers trying to sign you up for something that is actually free. They were approaching us from about 500m away.
Really great way to see the Statue of Liberty and Manhattan from the water. Don't be put off by the size of the queue, we joined at the back and everyone got on. People cram down the sides of the boat to get the best views which is quite annoying.
Don't wait on the ferry to return, you need to leave the boat and get on the next one heading back.Written 9 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Takes under five minutes and the price is the same as a ride on the subway.Written 7 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ian BLondon, UK18 contributionsThis is our third time using NYC Perfect Transportation for transfers to and from JFK and Manhattan and perfect as always! Always on time, great communication from the drivers, the cars are clean and spacious. Could not be better.Written 25 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Charles_and_SusanNottingham, UK7,368 contributionsIt's always a challenge trying public transport in a new place but the New York Subway proved to be straightfoward and convenient to use. We were in New York for four days and so we bought seven-day cards and this proved to be a good idea and saved on cost even though we didn't use them for seven days.
We used them to the hotel from the end of the LLIR from the airport. There's a long journey down to the Statue of Liberty boats, and generally backwards and forwards across the city. The trains seemed to come very frequently. There were some challenges in that some trains are "fast" trains and only have limited stops - they whiz through most stations. It's a bit of a guess if it stops at your station or not.
We asked several people on platforms various questions about how things worked and the direction of trains and everyone we spoke to was friendly and helpful.
Oh - you need to know where you are to know whether you want to go "Up Town" or "Down Town" ;-)
We alway felt ok travelling on the subway.Written 2 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I was ready early, and Vinny was already parked outside the hotel entrance ready to go. Great text communication made finding the Escalade easy. Vinny was professional and kind and got me to JFK quickly. Highly recommend and would book again!Written 2 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- psudinoWeehawken, NJ4,427 contributionsMy son had a day off from school so I took the day off from work and got us tickets to the Intrepid so he wasn't home all day staring at a screen. I never take the ferry across the river because the train or the tunnel (if driving) are much more convenient and cheaper. The downtown stop is a better stop closer to the action but the midtown stop is only good if you are going to Javitz or the Intrepid.
The cost is too much, the journey is on a less frequent schedule than the train and the parking at Port Imperial is also too much.
So yeah, if this is your first time or if you are a local showing someone the city, this is a nice journey. If you want in and out quickly, take a train.Written 19 September 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The ticket machines are a nightmare, as you need to enter the postcode of your credit card.
A member of staff had to explain that, but there’s no sense entering a vice dixit postcode if you’re not from the US. To bypass this, you can enter five zeros.
We had to use the ticket machines, because you cannot tap your contactless card when using a stroller to pass the barriers. Multiple credit cards got rekeyed, and only worked after multiple attempts of buying tickets. Recommend to use cash if you’re in a hurry and need a single ticket, because buying with a credit card is a lengthy process. The ticket you buy, gets ‘eaten’ by the machine if you use it to pass the barrier. Making the whole ticket buying process for PATH a very red tape thing to do.
Other than that we had no troubles with PATH, part from elevators not working.Written 21 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There were many medical issues involved and I was unable to make my NY trip I give King & Queen exceptionally high marks and will definitely use their services in the near future.Written 16 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TMS1954Saint Charles, MO9 contributionsExcellent car service. I scheduled several trips with them for our visit to NYC. Drivers were courteous and on time. Cars are newer models and very clean. I will definitely use them again on our next trip to the city.Written 18 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - RadiogahaAnnapolis, MD93 contributionsMy wife & i live in Maryland and took a 3 night trip to NYC via Amtrak NE regional. I found an Acela $100 fare then bid to upgrade for the lower possible price and got it, first class (north bound). I was disappointed with my first class experience. The car was old and the leg room less than our return on the NE regional business class car. The food was good, the service excellent. The single business class car on the trip south was no better than coach and smelled like pee. Both trains ran on time & staff were polite. Amtrak cannot begin to compare to trains like the German ICE but was fine for heading into NYC. Quick, on time, easy.Written 6 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- DREW RGlasgow, UK340 contributionsThe bus terminal itself is quite well laid out and organised in terms of boarding and alighting but the reason i'v e given it a 3 is the staff. Do not expect any of the ticket office staff to be helpful in anyway shape or form. I was heading to Asbury Park for the day and thought it would be easier to try and buy a ticket from the ticket office. I asked for a return to Asbury Park to be told 'we don't go there' next question i asked was 'well what about to Freehold then where I have to change'. Response was ' try gray line or trailways we don't go there' Not to be undone, I googled the journey again, found the bus number, went to ticket machine and bough a return from NYC to Freehold on a NJ transit bus where, according to the bone idle ticket vendor they don't go to, got off at Freehold, bought a return ticket to Asbury Park on an NJ transit bus where t6hey don't go to.
Moral of the story is, plan your journey before you go, you need the bus number to be able to buy a ticket from the machines. Don't waste time with the staff, you'll only get upset and end up missing your bus!Written 20 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Pickup driver did not greet, just grabbed suitcase to put in trunk. He did not speak with us at all and did not ask for drop off verification. He was taking personal calls while driving and looking at phone while on road . “Due to traffic,” he told my family that we would have to walk 1/2 to 1 block to get to hotel and that is what he did. Looking at situation he could have dropped us off in front of hotel. Very disappointed at lack of professionalism. Also used company for hotel to JFK drop off. Same thing. Different driver did not even greet. Again, he did not verify drop off location. Not happy.Written 9 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Ed SKetchum, ID101 contributionsThis is the second time that I've used NYC Rich Limo, and the reason was that they were outstanding the 1st time. They didn't disappoint! Our driver met us at the airport (he was there early), took us to the 1st hotel in Westchester, picked us up there for the trip into Manhattan, and finally back to the airport when our vacation was over. Our driver, Alex, was always early, a great driver, and he made things easy. It doesn't get any better than that- kudos the NYC Rich Limo for their exceptional service.Written 30 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - The Five Road Trippers 🚙🎡🎢🧳Long Island, NY16,135 contributionsI had an early morning flight out of LaGuardia. A late model Lexus was sent as my ride. Driver was safe and drove very courteously.
