Free ferry ride across the river. Floated as an alternative to the Statue of Liberty tour for views of the the statue, it doesn’t really go past close enough for that. The highlight is the view of Manhattan skyline. Not busy and way to get a good view.

We stayed 10 days and used the ferries once a day. Great way to travel and see the skyline. Comfortable, on time, no delays (unlike the subway), friendly and helpful staff, you couldn't wish for more.
$4 a two hour validity or $2.75 if you buy 10 tickets.

My son had a day off from school so I took the day off from work and got us tickets to the Intrepid so he wasn't home all day staring at a screen. I never take the ferry across the river because the train or the tunnel (if driving) are much more convenient and cheaper. The downtown stop is a better stop closer to the action but the midtown stop is only good if you are going to Javitz or the Intrepid.

The cost is too much, the journey is on a less frequent schedule than the train and the parking at Port Imperial is also too much.

So yeah, if this is your first time or if you are a local showing someone the city, this is a nice journey. If you want in and out quickly, take a train.

Very good way to see Liberty Island & Ellis Island without getting off the boat. Very quick service & cheap, plus it has a bar

New York Cruise terminal is near to the Intrepid War ship museum. The terminal is pretty gritty and not worth a visit. Avoid.

I am not sure if we got scammed because it was the weekend or if this is legit Monday - Friday! But we bought tickets on Saturday and the whole place was shut up!

The ticket men did a good job at selling them to us and convinced us it was too foggy to see the Statue of Liberty on the free staton island ferry!

They shipped us off on a ferry ( a group of 20) and dumped us in New Jersey! The shuttle bus sped off as quick as he could. We had to get an Uber back!

DO NOT BUY TICKETS FOR THIS BOAT!
