My wife and I have never been to New York's Central Park before, and admit to having kind of a "fantasy version" of what a horse and carriage ride would be like through this big park, amazingly reserved from Skyscraper City all around it. Turns out the 'fantasy version' in our heads resembled very closely our experience! We were late in the day, and our carriage was a little later than the reservation - BUT we were contacted by phone well ahead to inform us they were running late. We have no problem with running late - but hate it when we stand around wondering. THANK YOU for being good communicators! We browsed elsewhere until we got the call you were ready. Then the tour was FANTASTIC! We were introduced to Molly (our horse) by Ollie (our guide) and Ollie chatted with us through out the tour. Not TOO much chat - we were able to just sit back and enjoy the ride - but Ollie had interesting things to tell us about our surroundings. We appreciated ample opportunities for photos, and the great courtesy extended to us throughout the experience. Beautiful sunny evening, just the right amount of people visiting the park, perfect pace for seeing all the park, punctuated by the clop-clop-clop of the horse's hooves. It was surreal - my wife and I sat back and felt a bit like royalty, surveying the kingdom. That lasted until the trip was over and we were back on foot on New York sidewalks, but hey, - it was a WONDERFUL Carriage Ride - thanks Ollie, and Molly!
