I walked along the river for a ways down from the Harlem Piers on a gorgeous October Saturday. There was a surprising amount of river traffic, as well as some paddling water fowl, all delightful to see. Fall color was just beginning, too.
You reach this part of the Greenway from the 125th street station, passing under an impressive subway bridge and past the famous Cotton Club to reach the walk.
Bikes are available for rent, and there are several restaurants nearby for an after stroll meal.
I only wish I'd had more time to spend. Next visit!
