This was a walk down memory lane for my wife and a first time for me. A great way to get some gentle exercise and fresh air. There was some maintenance going on which meant we could do the full walk but this did not lessen our enjoyment of the time. We saw guided tours although we chose to do it ourselves. We ended up near the City Winery on the Hudson so a great walk followed by lunch, a simple yet thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Visiting the 9/11 workshop museum was a highlight of my trip to NYC. Gary’s stories and photographs brought the devastation and grief in the aftermath of 9/11 to life in such an honoring way to the first responders and also the victims and their families. His workshop carry’s the raw emotion and legacy of this devastating attack on our country and helps people ,like me, get a taste of what many experienced in the days and months following of 9/11. Don’t let the small size of the museum fool you. There is a lot of material, artifacts and stories to see. I spent 2 hours there! It was an honor to meet Gary while at the museum with his warm welcome and friendly demeanor.

The Whitney Museum of American Art is situated between the High Line and the Hudson River and the exterior reveals the design genius of Renzo Piano. I was enthralled with the engineering of the property and the collection of Edward Hopper depicting NYC's iconic skyline and picturesque landmarks. The 2 Lizards was an amusing piece, looking like a pair of lizards that could be used for a Geico TV commercial.

A retail shop provided me with a selection of assorted museum fare and the Whitney Cafe offered grab-and-go dining.

This is such a gorgeous neighborhood, the architecture is stunning and it's a lot more peaceful than midtown.
Very nice place to go for a relaxing walk.

And we went around Halloween and there were a lot of building decorated, which was very cool to see.

I also visited Cornelia Street, (I had to as a Taylor fan).

We stopped by to take a picture as fans of the show. It’s just a building at the end of the day and I’m not sure I’d have recognised it if it wasn’t for the other people taking photos when we arrived! Worth it if you like the show and you’re in the area anyway.

The Jefferson Market library is an excellent building from the outside but very run down inside. The gardens beside it are nice. Worth a photo of the facade.

I have been coming here for almost 20 years since I came out at 13. Durig my teenage years there was alot of fun and voguing on the pier. I still have fun, dance , bring my music and there are still many gays that frequent although "karens" pushing their strollers will stare, we still run the pier, wear our thongs and speeds and have a Kiki in warmer weather... Can't wait for spring 2021. Bring your rainbow flag, blanket and music here to have a day of fun in the village!!! It's open till 1am.
WARNING, be discreet about drinking or smoking as the parks police are always watching and happy to fine people.

One of the newest NPS sites. While the original Stonewall inn is private, this national monument is located right across. It's small with just a few displays, but interesting and informative.

The club is quite small and the reservation is strongly recommended if you want to be sure to have a seat for the concert. You must take a drink. The music was fantastic. strongly recommended if you want to try an authentic jazz night.
