Visited New York in march for a surprise. Took the afternoon to have a chilled one and walk around the park. The weather was amazing and it was so relaxing and no hustle and bustle. Made you forget that you were in the middle of New York City. Nice little restaurant in the middle that serves delicious iced coffees and amazing cakes.

This was a wonderful but very emotional visit. We did a walking tour and we purchased our tickets directly through the museum, not a third party. I HIGHLY recommend doing this organized tour through the museum.

We started outside and our guide gave us headsets. His microphone talked directly into our headsets. We had a 10am start time and the place was already busy, so I was thankful I could easily hear the guide. It also enabled me to take the headset off when it was a little too much to remember from that day. We walked around and he shared about the outdoor memorial, the survivor tree, and much more.

We then skipped the big line and went into the actual museum through a tour entrance with our own security line. This was really nice and much faster than the line we passed! After everyone had time to get through security and take a bathroom break, the tour continued in the museum. We had a fantastic guide and I learned so much that I would not have learned without the guide! The tour took about 2 hours and then we had time to walk through exhibits at the museum as we wished.

I cried a lot. I read a book once where it said " it takes courage to take a place where something awful happened and make it peaceful" That is how I felt. Something horrendous happened here and it was hard to relieve it, but I think it is tasteful and very well done to teach what happened and remember those that were lost.

And just my personal opinion.... I do not recommend taking young children. I also don't recommend taking smiling touristy selfies. In my opinion, it is just poor taste to taking big smiling tourist selfies in place that is designed to honor and remember a solemn event- it just seemed disrespectful.

I love the Met. I go every time I visit New York, and try to see a different part of it. It’s fascinating; it’s beautifully laid out and well organised.
My big tip - research and plan your visit! It’s huge - you could spend days here, so if you haven’t planned what you want to see, it would be very easy to just wander around aimlessly.

This is such a lovely thing to do! We went last week - didn’t walk the entire thing but we did walk most it. It was a lovely day which helped, and it was a truly beautiful, peaceful oasis. Really pleased that we did it; will definitely do it again!

Absolutely amazing! The talent is unbelievable, and the storytelling is genius! The band, the dancers, and the actor playing Michael were just incredible. This show is amazing.

Great way to see some spectacular views of New York. Probably the best view over Central Park. There is a new attraction called The Beam but unfortunately it was out of order when we visited.

Walking over the iconic Brooklyn Bridge is something every visitor to NYC should do. The bridge itself seems to exude the confidence of NYC - even in the rain. Walking north - south means you're pretty soon in Dumbo which itself is worth the visit, so if you're travelling to Dumbo, give yourself a treat and walk the bridge/

Visiting the Statue of Liberty was an unforgettable experience. The ferry ride from Battery Park offered stunning views of New York Harbor and the Manhattan skyline, and up close, the statue's design was amazing.
The pedestal museum provided a rich history of its construction and significance, and climbing to the crown, despite the narrow stairs, rewarded us with breathtaking city views. I highly recommend to anyone visiting New York City.

Great place, love the architecture. The Apple Store in Grand Central is amazing, had my first Apple Vision Pro demo experience which was brilliant. This Vision Pro is not available in UK. Also visited the shuttle platform between Grand Central & Times Sq which was filmed in my favourite movie French Connection. Shame the custard cart is no more, but i is the same steps and platform Charnier and Gene Hackman used.

The Manhattan Skyline is a very impressive view and reminds me of when New York features in films and tv shows. It was great seeing this view for free from the Staten Island Ferry.

It was a very fun experience. We walked by the TV screen advertisements and where the New Year ball drops. I highly recommend it for virtually every American.

After I have seen the reviews of the company who brings the tourists to Liberty & Ellis islands and I have seen the queue before opening hours I decided to skip it.. although I really wanted to go to the immigration museum. But Staten Island ferry gives you the perfect ride to admire the islands and the Lady, close enough and free of charge. It is a must! Don’t let yourself ripped off do this ferry unless you want to tour the Lady at any costs.

The park was pretty both during the daytime and at night (some fairy lights lit up a small area). The toilets were excellently maintained and very clean with 2 staff supervising to ensure it was safe and not overcrowded.

We visited the NY Public Library for a break from the city noise and to soak in the art, architecture, and history of the building. Spent time in the famed Rose Reading Room and perused some sections of books. Sat at a desk and took in the gorgeous ceiling and wood features all around the room. Check out the interactive map in the Visitors’ Center to plan your route.
