A great place to escape the crowded streets, great viewpoints of the city too and great to cycle around.

This is a great stop on a day trip to NYC. Will only need 1-3 hrs. Easy to navigate. Friendly staff. Very clean. A must see!

We decided on Top of the Rock instead of Empire State and I'm so glad we did. We paid an extra $10 to go at sunset but that was worth it. Once you're up you can stay for as long as you like. There are three different levels of viewpoints and each is worth a visit. The views are very different from the north and south sides of the building.

Unexpectedly nice. Artwork along the way was interesting. Street access to various parts is ok. Wished there were more. Also surprised this isn't advertised more.

I saw this statue on a city lights cruise, which toured the southern part of New York. Didn't get off to see the museum but the statue from afar was still great.

I have been to NYC so many times over decades, and somehow today is the first time I crossed the Brooklyn Bridge! It was a sunny, cold day, beautiful for a view and some photos. I thought the bridge was quite crowded for late January - people posing all over for an iconic shot. It’s an absolutely beautiful bridge with some great views.
Tip: if you’re trying to enter the bridge from the waterfront, there is a staircase that saves you quite a distance over walking to the on ramp. I didn’t know about this on the way to the bridge, but leaving I took the stairs, turned left, and was quickly at Pace University.

Busy, better at night but plagued by characters in costume wanting money for a picture.

Beware if beggars. Just don’t engage as some can get abusive

Reliable, free and easy to grab a seat. You can see the highly over rated lady liberty. Sit on the right side of the boat going to staten island for that.

The Rockefeller Center is an immense 22 acre business complex in the heart of midtown Manhattan. Luck would have it, my timing was bang-on for a performance of the Today Show. More luck, I could have swore that I saw an aging David Letterman walk out of the famed Rainbow Room, I could have been wrong, but I doubt it. The property is just jammed with attractions and I just wandered around looking up and about. The business sections were occupied by the likes of the Radio City Music Hall theatre, the home of NBC Studios and more. The enormous Xmas tree and bustling skating rink were fascinating.

St. Patrick's Cathedral is a catholic cathedral in the mid-town Manhattan neighborhood of NYC. It is massive as it occupies a city block bounded by Fifth avenue, Madison, 50th and 51st streets and in spite of it's attractive power, it is an active parish. I visited St. Patrick's to appreciate it's Gothic Revival architecture.....impressive. As I entered the cathedral I was enthralled with the stained glass, the opulent alter and 'the way of the cross' statuettes. The environment enticed me to say a Hail Mary and light a candle for my Mother who was a devout catholic.
