Central Park is one of the highlights when visiting New York City. It's an amazing city park both in size and in the variety of things to do and it is beautifully landscaped. The heart of the park is the beautiful Bethesda Terrace with its famous fountain and the wide path that is The Mall. You will find artists, musicians and other street performers here. Other favorite spots include the much-photographed Bow Bridge, the Strawberry Fields memorial to John Lennon, Belvedere Castle for its observation deck, a walk around the Jackie Onassis Reservoir for stunning views, or taking a rowboat out on to The Lake. There is a zoo, playgrounds, an ice-skating rink in the winter, a carousel, a children's story telling program on Saturday mornings, a lake for motorized model boats that you can rent and so much more. You can rent bikes, go on a pedicab tour, or ride in a horse drawn carriage. Best of all, this is a place where you can just get away from the hustle and noise of the metropolis. Go for a walk, picnic on the lawn or sit on a bench and enjoy the sights and sounds of this amazing city park.

The 9/11 Memorial is a poignant and moving tribute to the 2,983 souls that were lost on Sept 11, 2001 and during the WTC Bombing in 1993. The 2 large pools sit at the location of the north and south towers of the World Trade Center. The names of the victims are inscribed on the walls of the monuments. There is also a museum that costs $33 to enter but a visit to the memorial pools is free. This is a sacred site and while a visit here can be quite sad, I believe it is something that all first-time visitors to NYC should experience.

This museum is fantastic. There are so many eras and artists to see. It’s well laid out and the employees are so helpful. It is clean and well organized.

I know there are multiple places to get a city view, but the Empire State Building is a classic. We did the Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island the day before and that was not the best experience so we were nervous this would be similar. Our experience here was the exact opposite. Spending time learning and seeing how the building was built was really neat. My son and I especially liked the cameras showing what life was like in the 1920s. We also liked the videos clips of employees that were playing, we saw two of the ladies featured working that day. The employees were nice and the view was incredible. A classic NYC experience.

This is such a cool and different option in NYC. We hadn't been to New York for 13 years, so this was new to us and having read the reviews were intrigued and it didn't disappoint.
So nice to walk around with streets to cross, looking at the views of some of the most chilled places in New York and lovely architecture and arts to boot.
You can drop out at different points, pop to see Chelsea market for example or some of the piers or even Little Island like we did.

Broadway is the busy thoroughfare that cuts diagonally through Midtown Manhattan passing through Times Square, Herald Square at Macy's and near the Empire State Building and ends at Union Square after passing by the much-photographed Flatiron Building. However, in truth, Broadway describes New York's theater district as many of the best-known theaters in town are located on or near the street. Taking in a Broadway show is a must-do experience when visiting NYC.

Nice view of the sunset. The reception was well coordinated as well. I waited for few minutes or so, it's not bad at all for a sunset evening

It's very cold on top so be covered, and don't forget an external battery for your phone because you're going to take a lot of photos one my best place in list

Before my visit, I had heard on TV, that some very significant changes were being made to Grand Central. I’m not sure if I even noticed much difference except the iconic lobby area with the clock in the middle. I seem to recall this area being very open and spacious but now I thought it felt cramped. I don’t remember all the shops and cafes being in the iconic lobby area and the assumed domed ceiling was much lower? I’m having a hard time giving the upgrades 5 stars.

This island is alive 24/7 with an eclectic nightlife scene that'll make anyone question their bedtime. We navigated the intricate subway system to discover amazing (and sometimes questionable) food from all over the world. Pro tip: never underestimate the power of a good slice of pizza at 3 AM. Just remember, if you can make it in Manhattan, you can make it anywhere – especially if you've had enough coffee.

I have to borrow a line from an Alicia Keys song, saying that the big lights will inspire you. It’s the flashy lights that make this area of Manhattan so iconic. The theaters themselves would probably have been sufficient for it to be a very special “Piazza.” I think the history is related to The New York Times newspaper and now there’s no relevant remains.

Free ferry ride providing brilliant views of the Statue of Liberty. Having done this before the trip is as good as we remember. Also paid for a trip out to see the Statue on a previous city visit. This free trip was just as good. May be a little crowded

Bryant Park is a nice public park filled with restaurants, carousels, and other family-friendly amusements. A good place for a walk after visiting the adjacent New York Public Library.

Sadly, no fault of the attraction itself. We had $285 in tickets with zero visibility minus the clouds moving randomly. I would suggest waiting until the night before or the day of to purchase your tickets for this attraction because if it rains or has fog issues, you’re not gonna be able to see anything and I know the view would’ve been stunning otherwise. Now graciously, they offered us to move our ticket to the next day but unfortunately, we only had one day in New York and couldn’t do that. At 10:30 AM a lady spoke on one of the observation decks and gave a lot of information about New York and the different things you could see and things you could do. She did a really good job and was very informative. So I highly recommend hanging around and listening to her talk. I’m sure they probably do this several times throughout the day but we happen to be there for 10:30 speaking.
