What travellers are saying
- Leigh TAustin, TX21 contributionsThis section of the Adriatic Riviera is packed with locals who come to enjoy one of the more rugged and naturally stunning spots in Italy. The beaches and hiking spots are not for the faint-hearted but pay off your walking and exercising efforts with stunning views, gorgeous water and delicious seafood served by excellent staff. If you want immersion for your language skills, for relaxing like an Italian or for the food this is the place to be. The towns of Sirolo, Humana and Marcelli are strung out like jewels along the eastern coast. With some persistence we figured out the village bus systems, which bar owners were most likely to allow impromptu dance parties and the less traveled paths to the beaches. For an extra relaxing day, pack up your beach bag and take the ferry ride over to Due Sorelle beach - its less crowded and more primitive but well worth the ticket.Written 25 June 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Merryn JTintagel, UK3 contributionsIt is a magical place, we arrived at 8pm had to jump.in the warm sea. There was a yoga class on the rocks. We loved the peace and tranquility compared to civitanova where we were staying. However it is probably very busy during peak periods and parking would be hard. - trooper92St. Gallen553 contributionsThe main attractions are the overlooks Pian Grande, Belvedere North and Belvedere South. In theory one can hike all three in an extended day tour, but we recommend to hike to the first two from the ex campo sportivo in Poggio and to the latter from the parking lot of Badia de San Pedro. In the northern part, don’t miss the Roman quarry on your way up or down. Google maps are helpful as the trails are not uniquely numbered - or pick up info/maps at the park center.Written 24 October 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - memvMtyMonterrey, Mexico282 contributionsWe went during the summer, so it was packed with people, most of them locals or national tourists. It is a small beach, but is very beautiful. The water is cristal clear. The sand is a bit rocky so I recommend you wear water shoes.Written 21 March 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Eberhard MTeolo, Italy112 contributionsSituated in a protected bay, spiagga urbani is a nice serviced beach. Water is cristaline (during high season only in the mornings before the sea gets busy); snorkeling offers a nice view of thr under water world with fish, mussels, plants, molusques, etc. Rent a kanue or do some stan-up paddling texploring the area.
For folks looking to find non serviced area, there is ample free beach area.
The sole small draw-back, not really too much sand (just a bit), the beach features beautiful pebbles ...Written 28 July 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ValerioDMUdine, Italy732 contributionsVery special beach with small gravel and white stones where whater is clean and transparent.
You can reach it only on foot in 25/30 minutes or (suggested) by bus (1,00 euro) from Sirolo.
If you get an umbrella with a deckchair you can use a private shuttle service.
From this beach you can easily reach the beach of black stones (spiaggia dei sassi neri) towards North that is also amazing and beach Urbani and it's cave.
Be aware there could be some jellyfishes (carybdea, ryzostoma plumo) so use a sub-mask or goggles.Written 31 August 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It was inaugurated in 1875 and restored in the early 1900s and then again in the 1980s. The acoustics are wonderful, the theater is like a little jewelry box, Especially pleasing is the decoration of the ceiling which has ten female figures dancing in octagonal boxes arranged in a circle around the central rosette, from which hangs a crystal chandelier . It seats 220 people!Written 25 May 2013This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Georgina LAncona, Italy205 contributionsIt is worth seeing, in a particular setting, in the Coero natural park, but even on a very hot day take a jacket or even a blanket because an icy cold wind sets in at about 10 pm.Written 3 August 2012This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - gillandderek44Teramo, Italy293 contributionsChose this Lido from the look of it from the street. It was very good at what it is although I believe you can get the same just about anywhere along the Adriatic coast. Becasue of it's location you don't really benefit from any of the dramatic scenery that other beaches offer in Conero area. The restaurant is set back so again you don't benefit from a real 'sea view' the cafe upstairs actually has the best views, although it is a self service style cafe. Perfectly good, don't get me wrong, but if I return to the area I would want to try and take in the whole experience a little more. One BIG benefit however from the lcoaiton was the prevailing wind and therefore sea breeze. In some fo the more beautiful bays it is stiflingly hot. The bathroom too was reasonable compared to some where you have to use the public loo.Written 16 July 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - viaggioSensorialeCesena, Italy1,210 contributionsAround the year 1000 the Saracens who sailed the Adriatic to look for places to plunder and make raids often also arrived in the Conero. The village of Sirolo thought it well to fortify its walls and this Gothic arch is an amazing example of that period. Now it marks the beginning of the historic center of the village, crossing the arch you will find several restaurants and then the magnificent viewpoint. I recommend a visit to Sirolo even out of season to avoid the chaos of mass tourismWritten 12 October 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Alex FSiena, Italy238 contributionsDa silvio is in Sassi neri beach and very helpful for our mission. We rent here a double kayak (10€/hour) to get to "2 Sorelle" beach, which it takes just 30 minutes. I think da Silvio is good not just for renting kayak but also to have a nice day at the sea side.Written 9 August 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
