The park is not very large but quite divers. From hikes through the forest to stupendous views of the surrounding area, including the port and town of Xabia. There is in fact a hike from the light house to Xabia (half an hour down).

We were there in Spring and there were a lot of lovely flowers in the shrubs.

We enjoyed walking around the castle and the views from the top back down to the Port and also out over the town are spectacular. A must do in Denia.

The beach is several km long, and tends to get busy the closer you get to town. The beach slopes gently and is relatively safe for swimming. Whilst the main part of the beach is cleaned regularly, it does tend to suffer from weed being brought ashore by the waves,

Cycled through row after row of aromatic orange trees, past open countryside to the town of El Poblets. The route stops there, and if you want to carry on there's another route somewhere the other side of town, but we didn't find it. Nice flat route and really enjoyed it.

Great market. Lots of gorgeous local food direct from the producers. Get there early for maximum choice and easy of parking

We came across the Cabo de San Antonio during our walk from Denia to the Torre Gerro, following the rugged coast on sections of promenade, grit tracks and asphalted sections of road, passing several popular chiringuitos perfectly positioned along this dramatic stretch of coastline.

We went by (slow) ferry from Denia to Mallorca earlier this year, as part of a package as we live on mainland Spain. We had lovely comfortable, reclining seats in a lounge but probably because it was early in the season (mid May) most things were closed, including the main restaurant, which was a disappointment as there was only a self-serve very basic refectory-type cafe and one bar open, the latter being very crowded. The 'pool' bar was open as well, and we did find this very pleasant for the first hour of our trip, until the sun went down, as it was good to be able to watch the receding coastline that we were leaving behind.
Personally we found the 7-hour journey too long and boring, but with more to do on the ferry it would have been more bearable. We wouldn't do it again as we'd rather fly but it was an experience!

The view from the Tower was wonderful and we could see Ibiza! Plenty of rocks dotted about for a walking break and a snack

This area of Denia is very picturesque and has numerous narrow streets lined with shops and cafes - plenty of choice of where to eat and lots of photo opportunities too. We went in the day and it was very quiet.

We just chanced upon it and seeing a hole and being nosy off I shot. Although underground like it was open both ends so good. To think people huddled together for safety from their own people was sad. The chunky metal inside added texture and we could read info in English. All for free and introduced us to a totally new area and a street food market which was impressive.

Lovely for a stroll looking at the yachts, having a drink in one of the bars and restaurants. There are lovely views out to sea and up to the castle and the nearby service to Menorca with the Balearia is worth a look too good for people watching with plenty of seating and free.

Fantastic cava with a lagoon. You can canoe right inside the cava. If you have a torch with you, you can walk to the end of the cava to see where stone has been removed for the building of churches etc in medival times.

There was no market but there was a very interesting motor slalom event. Cars manoeuvring a tight twisty circuit against the clock. Mind you health and safety precautions were laughable! Ie dangerous. Noisy and smelly but great fun.

Lovely little toy museum. Spent an hour there, information is in Spanish although English leaflet is available at the entrance. A basic language level would help.
Variety of toys, metal and wooden , from home play, pedal cars and old fashioned table games.
One room, displays ceramic sculptures /games and models from local artists.
Well with a visit, whether you have children with you or not.
