We found his tour to be informative and entertaining and it was great walking around the town while hearing him speak on various aspects of Santa Fe’s history. Numerous people greeted him during the course of the nearly 3 hour tour, so he obviously has a community here in which he’s fully integrated.
Would definitely recommend this as a way to get a foothold here when you first visit. Train car seating was comfortable and the open air deck car was a good experience. Live music onboard. - Berksond14 contributionsWe had a great time with Lauren!! She is very engaging, very knowledgeable (being a chef herself doesn't hurt!), and lots of fun. We learned a lot about Santa Fe and the history and influences of the types of foods that eventually came to make up the New Mexico food scene. The 4 places we went were all very different. The food at each place was delicious and the drinks were tasty (non-alcoholic and alcohol drinks). The staff and chefs were engaging and very friendly.
The only bad thing was that we had the tour on the last day we were in Santa Fe. We learned about a number of great restaurants in and around the Santa Fe area we definitely would have tried if we had known before we were leaving!

1) the attentiveness of the owner. He shared insights about his passion of food and explicit details of the meal. He was right there the entire time to refill our beverages and served all courses flawlessly.
2) clean and exceptional dining area
3) the teamwork between him and his wife to accomplish daily brunches with exquisite preparation and presentation
