- sunrise99Yorkshire354 contributionsWe visited in February and found it a nice quiet little shingle beach. There are also a number of restaurants and hotels and apartments backing onto the beach but room for people to spend time on the beach.Written 23 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Marios Z41 contributionsHidden in a semi-abandoned village on the Limasolian countryside, the Hambis Tsangaris Printmaking Museum is the gem you have to visit.
Besides the beautiful pieces of art it owns, the museum is staffed with amazing people who will guarantee that you'll have a great time and will introduce to the original Cypriot hospitality.
If you're lucky enough you will meet Mr Hambis who is always excited to speak about the Cypriot printmakers, his work and printmaking in general.Written 25 June 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It consists of an ornately carved octagonal, sandstone coloured, base pool. In the centre is a small column which supports a sculpted bowl. From there a square pillar rises, on each side hangs a large carved bunch of grapes, topped with some vine leaves.
Above all of that is a scalloped dish which had four water spouts from which water cascades down into the pool below. Sitting on top of it all is a round stone.
It is a a feature to keep an eye out for when walking around the village, however don't get upset if you miss it.Written 9 November 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It stands outside the entrance to the Village's amphitheatre.
The bronze bust relief sculpture, mounted on a stone built wall, pays tribute to and in is memory of Aristides Potamitis.
Potamitis served as the Mayor of Pissouri for over 20 years from 1978 until 2001. Prior to this he was active in the village's community and it's politics.
During his time as Mayor there were some considerable developments and improvements made to the Village. These included the redevelopment of the Village Square, building the community kindergarten and the amphitheatre. There were road developments and improvements to the Village's water supply.
Potamitis was well respected and liked by the villagers and it is rather fitting that this monument is located outside the amphitheatre that was one of the many achievements of his Mayorship.Written 23 October 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Luke Searle-Evans21 contributionsWe have just spent a week in Pissouri and 4 days diving with Cyprus Diving Adventures. From the start they were very accommodating regarding what we wanted to do and the days and dates we wanted to dive. We had Stu as our dive guide for the whole week and he was professional the whole time. Great fun above the water and when the time came, he briefed the dives perfectly and made sure we were always safe but having fun on the dives too. Stu, across 4 dives, introduced us to the Zenobia wreck which was unbelievable, with our final dives heading in and exploring it. One of the best dives I've ever had! I'll be recommending him and the dive centre to all my friends and family and look forward to coming back again!! Many thanks!Written 24 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
