What travellers are saying
- atir44Harlingen, TX79 contributionsMy grandparents were married in this church around 1920. This was the first time I visited the church and I was amazed at how beautiful it was. The outside hides the beauty found inside the walls.Written 30 April 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - atir44Harlingen, TX79 contributionsThis is a quaint town that gives the visitor a glimpse of how Italians in small towns live. There are several churches that are worth the visit. The Basilica is beautiful inside. We walked all over the town just exploring. It was a very relaxing couple of days.Written 30 April 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

So much detail everywhere, and entrance is free.Written 28 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Keith MPalm Springs, CA546 contributionsThis is the main civic museum in Castel di Sangro. It is located right on the Sangro river that runs thru the village. There are several sections of the museum and a few rotating exhibits. Some of the rooms are dedicated to the history of Castel di Sangro and Abruzzo going back to the pre Roman times, up thru the middle ages. The building is actually an old convent that the city took over and converted it into a museum. When we were there there was only a two euro entrance charge. One of the main reasons we went is because they have two rooms dedicated to fly fishing. There is an international fly tying and fly fishing school in Castel di Sangro and they assembled this very nice collection of fly tying, fishing equipment, and artwork about fly fishing. I would highly recommend a visit. Then go out and take a little walk along the river to experience this world famous trout fishing river in Italy. Castel di Sanagro is the headquarters for the Italian Fly Fishing Association.Written 2 September 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - atir44Harlingen, TX79 contributionsThis church is situated on the plaza in the middle of town. There is a large fountain in front of the church. It has three altars. All the churches we visited in Italy had beautiful art and sculptures inside.Written 30 April 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
