Everything was well planned and delivered. Josué was a great guide and made the experience relaxed and insightful. The volcano is far more interesting than seen from pictures, and the walk to get there is fun and pretty too.

I never went to the Mayan ruins, surf city, the lakes were already mentioned in previous reviews. These locations were not listed separately. The Santa ana volcano is a must see location and you can take a tour and climb the side of the volcano. When you reach the summit, you get a breathtaking view of the iake inside of this active volcano. It takes around 2 hours each way for this hike and a tour guide is required for around $50 per person. You also have to a pay a small park fee, as well. This may seem like a lot of money, but can you imagine doing this hike on a daily basis as your job in all types of weather conditions.
Lake Coatepeche is probably the most popular lake in all of ES. I could not believe all of the muliti million-dollar homes with their luxury boats on their private piers. There are a lot of nice restaurants to eat or small kiosk syle food locations, as well. I enjoyed going to this one restaurant that had a couple locations where you can swim within the complex. There is a kids swimming pool and a good place to take your family. You also must pull over on the side of the road and get a overall scenic photo of the entire lake at the summit. Once again, my favorite part of the visit was taking another scenic boat ride that only cost $25 for 2 people and I left at $6 tip here. The entire location is so beautiful, very clean, safe, inexpensive and a great place for some rest and relaxation.

The Santa Ana volcano hiking and lake Coatepeque tour organized by Maure Tours was the best experience during our visit to El Salvador. It was a challenging experience for our family, but stunning views of the volcano’s crater at the top made all our efforts well worth it. We truly enjoyed this fairly difficult hike of approximately 5 hours ( 2.5 hr up and 2.5 hr down) that took us through a picturesque forest that turned into a stony terrain when we got closer to the top. Our tour guy Gabriel was wonderful, patient and very helpful. Thanks to him we made it safely to the summit and down. The lunch at the restaurant with the view on Coatepeque lake was delicious. I highly recommend this tour with reliable and punctual Maure Tours.

During our stay in El Salvador, we wanted to explore other parts of the country and Tunco Life was recommended. In the end, our experience was more than we could have hoped for. We were picked up from where we were staying, driven to the volcano in comfort, and provided with all the interesting facts about the hike. Salva - our guide - took us to the top of the volcano, told us about its history, and simply made our experience more authentic and fun. After a 3 hour hike we went to the local restaurant for pupusas. I can't wait to come back and explore the rest of the country with Salva and the rest of the team. Thank you so much! <3

Great tour company. Professional, organized and reliable. They were quick to respond to any queries, and our guide Carlos and driver Oscar were top-notch! Amazing trip to the volcano and the beautiful lake with a stop to eat great food lakeside. Pick up and drop-off at your place of lodging. Highly recommend them.

Marlon is a local from Santa Ana who knows the ins and outs of the city. He shared really interesting information about the historical background of the city and the country, the colonial buildings that you might have neglected to notice while walking by, and the parts of the city that you might be a little hesitant to visit on your own.

In the end, he introduced me to a local speakeasy that only those in the know can enter! I highly recommend his tour, especially if you don't want to miss out on the city's serene nightly scene. He also recommended a few other spots to check out in the close proximity that are not well advertised online

It was an great tour with one of the best sunrises I saw. The view was amazing! Our guide was really kind and explained us everything about the history and other volcanos around and the coffee plantage. It was the birthday of one of the group members, the guide stopped at a market to take a cake for her. That’s was really nice from him! I can recommend this tour.

Had a 7 hour layover and called Mac to give me an El Salvador city tour instead of waiting at the airport.
Was a quite interesting experience. Mac has been doing tours for long time and is very knowledgeable about the country's history.
We had a great Papusa lunch in the way and visited the Mayan route including the city and El Rosario Iglesia.
Would like to call him back to visit the beautiful beaches and attractive places of this friendly country.
    Thanks Mac!

My friend and I had a pleasure to use services of Alfredo whilst climbing the St. Ana volcano in March 2022. "Pleasure" is not just a grammatical form used here: it stands for the actual description of the experience.
Our guide turned to be knowledgeable and kind companion, who answered all our questions and tended to our needs (eg. A stopover at the coffee shop at our request). Chilled out, adaptive... worth highest recommendations.
