We booked this as an excursion thru Celebrity Cruises. Our tour guide Dominique was awesome. First she is from Quebec City so this is her home turf. She was also a guest lecturer on the ship for our cruise.
The bus ride from the cruise terminal to the sugar shack was nice as we got to see the countryside. Dominique told us of the history of the area in more detail.
Once at the sugar shack we were seated inside. This was a bit chaotic but Dominique was very helpful. We did have to wait a bit before food was brought out. During the wait we were informed about what was coming. I am not sure if this is a cruise line thing but a menu ahead of time would have been nice. There were some people who were on our bus that would not have chosen this due to food issues (allergies and restrictions). That being said, the food was good. Pea soup (more like ham and beans), meat pie, pork crackling, ham, potatoes, scrambled eggs and baked beans with crepes for desert.
The presentation on the history of and how maple syrup is made was fun. After this we were able to sample Maple butter. Then went outside to have maple taffy which was really cool.
At the dinner portion there was a guy singing French songs. I would have to say that it was OK BUT the guy was way too loud. It made it difficult for us at the tables to talk about the flavors of the food we were having. The sing along after the meal was fun.
This was really a fun evening and would recommend this to anybody going to this area.

Very close to Quebec City, 25 minutes from downtown. For everyone, beginners and skilled experts. With a shop to rent and maintain equipment. Nice view of Lac Beauport. Because of the proximity to Quebec City sometimes is overcrowded and waiting for lifts can take some time. I go often there with mu evening pass. I enjoy a lot evenings because there is not too many people.

In a beautiful Thursday afternoon in late September, we 10 seniors drove two rental cars to Lac Beauport. Some trees surrounding lake shores are changing color. Enjoying viewing the breathtaking scenery in the back shore of a high class hotel.

Les Sentiers du Moulin is a great spot for water sports such as cross-country skiing, hiking, fat biking, etc. Located 25 minutes from downtown Quebec city, this is an outstanding location. Great for everyone from young kids to athletes.

We stumbled across this place, and having never seen people skiing in the summer before, it was quite an experience. Very exciting to watch if you have never seen it before.

Great place as a destination to walk to if staying nearby. Beautiful little waterfall with several viewing platforms. Nice for a few moments of tranquility

We’ve spent 1h at this place and it’s something very impressive to see a lake completely icy. Good for those who like to ice skating or just go for a walk.
