The visit to this place was good, it was a series of activities and things we did, the entrance is somewhat cheap, they offer you a rich cup of chocolate which is necessary due to the cold, we fed the reindeer, we saw the way of life of the population and some details that are important in the town. If you have time you can spend a pleasant afternoon…

When I came here with my mother and brother in 2014 just before Christmas, we were only there for one day but it was filled with events. You will be able to visit the ice hotel, where everything is made of solid ice, from the beds, the walls and even a bar with shot glasses made of ice, you can even smash them on the ground after downing a shot of vodka. You will meet elves there in large wooden huts, but these aren't the tiny elves with large ears you'd expect, but quite large and normal looking. Since this place is so high up on the planet, and since it was winter, you don't get sunlight for long; it tends to get dark around 4pm. All warm clothes are provided once you are there, but be careful, even just taking off your gloves you will feel the icy chill. There are sleds pulled by reindeer although these are slow, if you want something fast try a husky ride; as you race through the dark woods you will feel the ice cold wind lashing at your cheeks, for me it was the best part of the trip; just enjoy the experience while you can because they only let each family ride once. You can go down ice slides and make huge snow angels, just laying back you are swallowed by the snow, then we met Father Christmas. You are transported to a small hut and once inside you see an old man wearing red, when I met him he spoke with a Russian accent; we had our photos taken but since my brother and I were both in our teens we didn't get any gifts, my mother is still annoyed about that.

Adorable view with special lightings. However, there was not many game stations available in November which may not be the peak season.

Really great, enthusiastic... And sympathetic instructor! Fantastic experience- hot yoga whilst looking out at the piles of snow is amazing!

Be sure to enjoy the hot tub after your session!

    Thanks Mikko!

A fun thing to do when it is gettimg too cold outside for skiing or just as an alternative. You pay for an hour and can play pretty free - nice atmosphere on top.

My partner and I took the snowmobiling safari to a Sami village to feed reindeer. Our guide Tim was great and couldn't be more helpful. He's also some really interesting stories to tell as we found when chatting with the reindeer herder over a coffee and sugar donut at the Sami reindeer village. It’s a great experience being surrounded by reindeer and then feeding them. The ride to and from the village was exhilarating, especially going through the breath-taking scenery!

Tips... Tokka will kindly provide you with an insulated snow suit, balaclava, helmet, gloves etc but you'll still need to dress really warm if -25 degrees that we experienced. If using your own gloves, don't take your best ones. They'll get reindeer saliva on. If your visor ices up, when stopped take your hand out of your glove and use that. Your warm hand will melt the ice. When on long straights concentrate, it does take control to keep straight due to previous grooves in the snow. If you have a passenger, have them rely hand signals to the snowmobiles in rear. Last tip, go with it and have fun!

The activity was fun and well prepared - set up was good and exciting. We chose room Alibi which was rather easy and straightforward though - some good puzzles included too. Recommendable for friends of this kind of activity - Alibi room is good also for beginners.

    Downsides:
The rooms are in connection to a bar which did not seem to be very comfy. Also the place is quite far from the centre of Levi and it is rather isolated from other hustle and bustle so you won't find this by accident.

We did the snowshoe tour with James and would recommend it to anyone! It was just the two of us and the guide. You could tell straight away that it wasn't just a job for him, but that he loved what he did. He has a great knowledge of the country, nature and history. The nationalpark itself was beautiful! It was a very special trip with a great guide.
