- msa23_2000Chino Hills, CA1,455 contributionsThis is an incredibly rocky beach known for surfing (not for beginners, but already good surfers). There are better beaches for relaxing by and swimming. The town is right in the beach and has lots of restaurants and hotels/hostels so great for people watching. Good place to experience the surf culture of El SalvadorWritten 21 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Alejandra C3 contributionsNice staff, nice location, rooms are very cozy and walk distnce from the beach. Best part is that is locted away from the loud bars in town.Written 27 August 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Miranda CSault Ste. Marie, Canada32 contributionsWe had a long shuttle from El Tunco to Antigua and then return from Antigua to El Tunco/ I was very happy with the quick replies and accommodations online through facebook. The customer service online was great. The driver service to and from was nothing spectacula, no interaction with clients at all either way. The most disappointing was getting to Antigua and expecting to leave the next day at the scheduled time of 130pm and being informed late in the evening that the onlly option to return would be at 730a. I had spent a lot on a beautiful room expecting to sleep in and have breakfast in the beautiful courtyard, i had held off all the shopping I had wanted to do the following day and was unable to do either. Knowing in advance that this could have been a possiblity would have altered by itinterary in Antigua. Gekko ruined a very expensive day in Guatemala single handedly. Very disappointing. There is a tour company Ofintour that we used for the airport return, im not sure if they are affiliated but they were excellent.Written 12 April 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Chelsea GMiami, Florida, United States7 contributionsThank you Tunco life tours and especially Chamba for making our visit to San Salvador a fun and seamless one! From the airport transfers to our custom itinerary—we truly appreciated it all! Champa was welcoming, accommodating and such a friendly and fun guide. We appreciated how patient he was and he truly made our group of 4 feel welcomed and taken care of!Thanks for the awesome time and captures of our time in El Salvador. 10/10 would recommend this tour company if you’re looking for ease and reliability.Written 18 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Eric C1 contributionI spent 8 days in El Salvador with some friends in late February. Mauricio successfully coached me to catching my first green waves while accommodating the interests of the rest of our group. Mauricio is very enthusiastic about surfing and seeing his clients progress while under his guidance. I felt safe throughout while also being pushed to challenge myself. Beyond surfing, Mauricio guided us to Santa Ana, the Tamanique waterfalls, and gave us an awesome city tour of San Salvador.
I highly recommend Mauricio and his company and look forward to returning again soon.Written 2 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. He is super helpful and chill and is happy to organize a variety of experiences and travel arrangements. He helped me find a rental car in El Tunco, and also booked my shuttle from El Tunco to La Ceiba as well as my return shuttle from La Ceiba to Leon. He is knowledgeable about the options in the area. Make sure you ask for all the necessary fees in advance, a lot of border crossings have different requirements (and require cash! In various currencies!) so you’ll want all that info. He is quite trustworthy and honest.Written 30 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
