One of the best museums I've been to on a Greek Island - fantastic to get a tour from the person who refurbished the olive press.
I would say it's just as enjoyable as the large national museums of Athens.

I am mad keen on Museums but my wife is more selective.
This miniature museum exhibits many excellent boats, monuments in Paros and other Cycladic islands, and other objects created by just one man, a dedicated fisherman from neighbor fishing village.

The ceramic is combined with other materials and has some great ideas behind + there is a opportunity to look at the museum, which displays ceramics production through time.
Behind is a small museum you might have a look.

Recommend this more than the tunnel museum as you will be taken on a private tour, Giannis loves his collection and loves sharing the stories of all the different items he has collected and also was given as a gif...
This is a private collection of unique World War II exhibits, each one collected with great effort from the museum owner, Mr. Paraponiaris, and preserved in a very good condition.

He then shows you how the wine museum free is still made using his family's techniques, as well as the more modern methods.
It's a hybrid of a few things: an art space (duh), a functioning distillery (Raki), winery and museum to a once burgeoning tomato canning factory.

The children loved the museum and we especially enjoyed the wine tasting and the kindness, friendliness, and generosity of Kostas and Andonis.

Then order a great cocktail, have a look at the museum exhibits and wait for your turn to go into the observatory and see stars and planets through a professional telescope.
Apart from the great cafe and the amazing museum (!!!!!!!) I also stayed 3 weeks in this place and enjoyed every single moment.

Fabulous little museum, beautifully designed, very interesting and well-displayed artefacts; particularly enjoyed the prehistoric obsidian arrowheads.
In an hour and-a-half this elegant museum fascinates visitors with the history and the stories of a very rough and harsh way of life and its products through 3000 years.

The Museum of Prehistoric Thera in Fira stands with the best archeological museums in the world.
It seems that museums in Fira are small and unassuming, which is lovely since it leaves you free to explore without distraction.

The Venetian Museum and the castle itself was great to explore, but the Cultural Festival Domus which puts on concerts and outdoor movies every night at the castle is a must see.
The views are wonderful from the museum and we highly recommend the Venetian Museum for anyone wanting to add some history to your holiday in the Greek Islands.

To be honest boys & girls, my wife and I are unsure if this was the church & museum that we visited in the village of lindos.
It is not a museum...Panagia Tsampika is a church/monastery, and HAS a museum next to the church.
