We really enjoyed the 12km canoe ride, the descent has just a few rapids which are quite easy to go through and the scenery was beautiful. We brought a packed lunch with us and stopped for lunch after 6kms. We did find the last 3kms a bit more challenging as having to row against the wind and under a hot afternoon sun. Do not forget to bring sun cream, hats and water shoes. We booked in advance by calling Rapido, and the staff was very helpful. We had to change the date of our trip at the last minute and that was no problem at all. There is a large parking area at the base, and they take you by bus to the departure point. This was very convenient, as when you come back, you can get changed and get back to your car immediately. So all in all, highly recommended activity for anyone visiting the region!

We did the easy 4km route. Whilst the route was easy enough, we were disappointed that the route is actually along a 2km stretch of ponded river paddling 2km downstream and then returning along the same stretch.

We used the park and ride scheme from here to the village. A FREE SERVICE which was excellent and worth it.

The area around was worth a walk to the Pont de Diablo and to see the gorges which were stunning.

We only wished we had brought our bathers so we could have gone down to the river to swim.

Amazing tour by this very good tour guide. Enjoyed it very much. Nicely combined speaking English for the non-French people in the group with French for French-speaking.

This is a beautiful location - found parking ok on a Tuesday in late May, and the streets were not too busy at all. I guess that can be different in high season.

The village itself is beautiful to walk around, and be sure to see the view from the road as well with the giants castle ruins behind the village. If walking on beyond the village then note that the giants castle path is closed at the moment, but its still well worth walking up the walking path for 15 minutes at the end of town for elevated views over the village, valley and surrounding peaks.
