    Half destroyed by the Florentines but still beautiful
    Yo should walk up there, crossing the idyllic little bridge off from the bakery and hardware shop square . You will climb the hill reaching the magnificent tower-gate holding a fantastic slow-time clock based on 6 hours, only one hand. The hamlet has been beautifully preserved. The castle, stupidly sold by the town-hall to a private owner now deceased, might not be visible inside but even from the outside it gives plenty of that medieval feelings and emotions. Great short and easy hiking for a unique personal experience.

    Slow Time in Casentino Valley
    How about a clock that works on six only hours and only one hand ? Can you imagine : forgetting minutes, forgetting quarters, forgetting eve a half an hour ... this is really slow-time, the one you can appreciate while visiting Caste San Niccoló and its fabulous gate-tower at the entrance of the castle village up above the hill.

    You will be amazed by the little streets, the centuries old little cottages down below the old Counts Guidi castle.

    Fascinating and well organised ceramic showroom
    Warm welcome, sensible prices and a great and extensive product range. I was so impressed with colours and design of the ceramics on offer. Everything to such a high quality. I received the introduction from DeiMori La Massa and will am so happy to endorse this enterprise.
