Unlike eg Cinque Terre, this is physically easy… and with better views. Taxi ride from Positano back to the starting point is 50 minutes off-season and double than during the highest season.

Visited on a Sunday afternoon and it was surprisingly quiet perhaps due to off season. The pebble beach and the views from ground level up is amazing and a must see if you're travelling around Amalfi coast. There are lots of steps to get down and recommend taking a bus when you go back up to street levels as it's quite a climb. Disappointed that most of the restaurants are closed off season.

My Husband and I had one of our favorite days on our honeymoon at Arienzo! We loved the boat access to the private beach! The bottle that was included in the package was such a great perk of the day! Our lunch was delicious (Both the appetizer & main course)! We purchased a beautiful platter that we now have hung on our wall to remember this day! Roman at the club was exceptional and really made the day one to remember! Arienzo exceeded all expectations!

A great tour of active excavations and a beautiful roman villa and artefacts recently discovered, along with some medieval history. Giovanna (an archeologist) was very informative and friendly. Not as well publicised as it should be. A highlight of our time in Positano!!

Located in the heart of Positano and clearly visible from the Marina Grande beach as it hugs the cliffside, the Church of Santa Maria Assunta is unostentatious yet charming. With its distinctive majolica-tiled dome capping its yellow-walled structure and an unpretentious 18th-century bell tower standing separately, the church is known for its 13th-century Byzantine Black Madonna above the main altar. The history of the Black Madonna, which was supposedly stolen from Constantinople by pirates, forms an important part of Positano's history as that is, after all, how Positano got its name. The church is easily reached enroute as you stroll from Piazza del Mulini where the main bus station is located, down towards the beach. The vistas from the piazza in front of the church is simply sublime!

Although Spiaggia Grande is the main beach of Positano, it is not anyone's idea of a beach paradise, with its greyish sand and extortionate prices to rent a sunbed and umbrella. Despite that, this mere 400 metres stretch of beach will still leave you spellbound because of its enchanting surroundings. Standing at the centre of the beach, you're surrounded by a kaleidoscope of colors - from the pastel pink, yellow and white hues of the houses stacked on the cliffside, the colorful majolica-tiled dome of Church of Santa Maria Assunta, the greenish brown of the imposing Lattari Mountains and of course the turquoise sea. With such breathtaking vista, no wonder they say that Positano is a stunning work of pure Italian art. Pure magic!

We visited Absolute Positano in 2019 and bought some wonderful ceramics. Great for our home and gifts. Failed at that time to buy one of their beautiful tables. Returned there in October 2023 and ordered the table in the picture.. Table arrived yesterday - beautiful work of art. Tailored to show the places we have visited in Italy. Easy shipping — well and safely wrapped. Make buying an Absolute Positano table part of your trip to Italy. Superb quality and service.

I was in the region for a wedding, but chose Positano for a day trip because my mother loved it so much in the 1950s. She remembers it as her favorite place, and she was never able to return. She's 91 now, so I wanted to bring home a keepsake. I found the perfect gift—once I saw Giancarlo's shop. Although there are many nice shops to choose from, I immediately recognized the quality available in the Art & Craft Gallery. Giancarlo is a proper artist, a talented and soulful person. I told him my story as I looked through prints, sketches, and oils. He talked with me about his process, and I chose a vibrant oil of the signature hillside and sea—one that would fit in my luggage. My painter friends back home have praised the work ("lovely use of color," "wonderful technique")—but the most important part is that my mother was very moved when I gave it to her. With tears in her eyes, she said, "That's IT. That's my favorite place." Thank you, Giancarlo!

We enjoyed our short visit on a tour to Positano.

The beach is quite average and nothing like Australia.

Its a lovely charismatic town but quite expensive.

Lots of shopping, restaurants and bars around on the way down to the beach.

I love the views of all the hilltop accomodation.

If you love tennis or want to do something different, definitely check out these tennis courts!!! The courts were in great shape and have spectacular views. The racquets they provided (for only 5 euros!!) were in perfect condition as well. They also provide balls. Entrance is behind the gas station. Also, very easy to coordinate a court time. She was very responsive and accommodating.

    The whole ride was nice
But the cave and emerald water is just to see in 2 minutes there is nothing else to do
Should be done as part of a whole tour around the coast, in my opinion it is not worth a special trip
