What travellers are saying
- Karen DennisEdinburgh, UK3 contributionsGorgeous setting, we enjoyed a beautiful lunch in salt followed by a tasting of 3 whites & 3 reds during our honeymoon. I can’t remember her name unfortunately but our waitress was fabulous. Great atmosphere. - jane PDawlish, UK17 contributionsWe stayed here as part of an itinerary based holiday package. Spectacular scenery. Fantastic food and wine. Although we didn’t realise that we had a certain amount of hospitality credit. This wasn’t initially mentioned on arrival. So paid for some food and wine we needn’t have paid for. Even so We enjoyed the stay ! Very peaceful.Written 13 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Rupert1416London85 contributionsWe had a fantastic day on the segways. King briefed us on how to use the segways safely, and eased us into using them whilst keeping it enjoyable. Our guide around the vineyard, Maurice, was brilliant, an asset to Spier, he was attentive, patient, knowledgeable and fun! Thank you Maurice. Also to Trevor who welcomed us, and was friendly, professional and a great ambassador for this place. Then we had wine tasting with Chrizelle which was also great, she was very knowledgeable and friendly and gave us a great selection from the Spier collection. The Spier Chenin blanc is a must drink. This place is beautiful, we will return and highly recommend to others!Written 6 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - NSVanderMacBelgium64 contributionsThis is the most beautiful place in Stellenbosch. It has the most majestic views of the Stellenbosch mountains. The driveway and gardens are scenic and magnificently maintained. The wines are of a great quality. Wine tasting in the shade of the trees gazing out at the wonder of the mountains is just magical. The painting “Chinese girl” by Vladimir Tretchikoff is on view. Beautiful. I get tears from the beauty of this place. It really moves me.Written 13 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Inspire442450873971 contributionI went for my 20th birthday with my closest friends, I received a complementary glass of champagne and the pairings were better that I could have imagined. - Dave LDerbyshire, UK7 contributionsA really great experience. Not crowded so easy to speak to bird handlers. I was really surprised how many birds and other species they had on site.

- travelingjoeannBarcelona, Spain61 contributionsIt was out last evening in South Africa. We began the evening with a a new release of the Big Easy Cabernet Sauvignon Rose. Enjoyed the stunning view from the terrace of the vineyards and mountainous terrain of Stellenbosch. Our dining experience was delightful! Wine that was wonderful to the pallet, lamb and pork belly that melted in your month and topped off with dessert.our waiter Pilot treated us as if we were special. A very memorable evening until we can return to this beautiful country.Written 15 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I can not fault anything with the chardonnay. Want to give a round of applause to managment in training all young staff in giving great service and experience that I will remember for a long time. Views are amazing. Keep up the great work. You will definitely see me again.

Lovely views, good wine and above all great service! Our server was incredibly knowledgable and told us the story of the vineyard and added a personal touch by teaching us some Xhosa words. A great start to our vineyard hopping, would definitely visit again!Written 10 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TrvCplWoodmere, NY169 contributionsWe spent 3 hours walking and admiring the sculptures and gardens by this wonderful artist. The reception staff is knowledgeable and eager to assist in maximizing your enjoyment here. The detailed brochure lays out the garden routes, sculptures to be seen and categories of artwork. The hand and eye of the talented Mr. Lewis in designing this garden are exquisitely apparent. A short break in the cafe for coffee and mini cakes was delicious and well earned. This is a beautiful site to absorb and enjoy nature and sculptures in perfect harmony.Written 26 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
