This is a very picturesque bay surrounded by the Four Seasons resort. Therefore, please be mindful that you need to park your car outside of the hotel grounds and need to walk around one kilometer to the beach and the hike gets quite steep in some areas. The walk back is uphill and can be challenging when very hot outside.

However, the walk is well worth it. The water is the most beautiful turquoise and sand powdery and clean. Please take some beverages, etc.with as there were no kiosks, etc. at the beach itself.

Amazing white sand beach. Palm trees where you can hide from the sun. Warm water with some bigger waves. Cocktails and drinks from locals. What else you need?

The hike is around 800 meters to the top, but elevation is quite steep so the round-trip took us around one hour to complete.

Not difficult, but one should take care, especially coming down not to slip/fall.

The views of Anse Major and the surrounding beaches and islets were well worth the drive and hike.

Parking was easy to find close to the start of the hike and there were some others on the hike, but not so busy that one had to stand in line at any moment.

    Visited with a guide.

We thought the gardens were really pretty, and a surprise being so close to the capital!

I think we may have struggled knowing about everything without our guide talking us through everything.

Really nice rum, we enjoyed the cocktails and just went around ourselves without the formal tour. Also nice gift shop. Taka and maka the giant tortoises didn't look too happy and their area looked a bit cramped. Hopefully that has changed by now. Also the staff there at the time didn't seem to know much about them which was a bit of a shame.

Sir Selwyn Selwyn Clarke Market, but more widely as the Victoria Market is a great example of blending the old and new Seychellois way of life. It’s always been great place to buy local fruit, vegetables, spices and fish; a good sign of this is that it’s always busy with Seychellois doing their food shopping. The market is open between 4am-5pm, Monday to Saturday. Try to avoid Saturday if possible.
Parking in Victoria can be a bit of a nightmare, the best bet is to leave the car behind and either get a bus or a taxi in.

We really enjoyed our unplanned visit to the spice garden. We were just looking a way to spend some time prior to our flight leaving and we ended up at this garden by chance. We loved it! The grounds are beautiful and there is a lot of info available (if you know who to ask) about the various plants and their uses that can be found within the garden. We also loved the restaurant on site. The food was incredibly delicious and fresh. My husband loved the tuna salad, said it was the best he ever had. I had the Malibu salad (papaya and chicken) and it was equally scrumptious. We also had the chicken masala, which is not the traditional Indian masala one generally thinks of, it was more of a chicken curry, but my god was it good! All the herbs and veggies come fresh from their gardens. The hot chili…so good! And don’t forget the homemade ice cream. We tried nutmeg, lemongrass and coconut. I’d never think to have a lemongrass ice cream, but it works!

Great hike with an amazing surprise of the ocean and beach at the end of the hike (out and back trail). It was challenging, but I think that was due to the time of day we went. The heat and humidity made it tough but not unmanageable. Once you hit the beach, you have the option to take the water taxi back if you don't want to make the trek back up the trail. Well maintained trail. Highly recommend!

The beach on the resort, one of the most expensive on the island. Admission to the beach is, of course, free. The staff is very friendly, does not make any problems with anything (they also feed the fish there regularly, so that they swim in whole schools, something wonderful).

The water is generally clear, but there is some algae. The beach gains a lot in the sun.

Huge land turtles are kept on site (you will be delighted, your kids too). The beach itself is rather narrow

Getting there by bus — linę 61 or 62 (you have to ask the driver to stop because there is no stop there, but they do it very nicely)
