- Teresa LVonore, TN2 contributionsBeautiful peaceful paths, very serene. We walked part of the trail, but I wish we would have rented bikes .Written 20 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Danielle PFlagstaff, AZ6 contributionsWe are on hockey/brewery tour of DC/VA/NC and drove through Tennessee and happened to see this place on the map. We cannot recommend this place enough. The beer and atmosphere are great, and the bartender (working Thurs lunch shift) was so incredibly nice and gave great recommendations for other breweries.Written 17 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - goandgrowDandridge, TN29 contributionsWe took a guided tour and learned a lot about the history of this site. I think the tour guide added so much more than we would have learned on our own.Written 10 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - NEMOBristol, TN211 contributionsThe park is clean & well maintained - including the restrooms. My friend & I go frequently to walk the path. I would have given it 5 stars, but there is a sign posted on the walking path indicating a lap is approximately 1.8 miles. IT IS NOT!! I had a pedometer app on my phone & my friend has a fit bit & we walked 3 complete laps after which both devices showed 2.4 miles. Apparently, the sign should read approximately 0.8 miles per lap. We still enjoy walking there & will continue to visit, but now we know the distance around the path & have adjusted the number of laps we walk accordingly.Written 12 April 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - NEMOBristol, TN211 contributionsI met a friend for a new place to walk. We parked near the ball fields/batting cages. The park is rather large. It is well maintained & the restrooms are clean & well stocked. We started our walk on the paved trail, but soon ventured off onto the wooded dirt trails. The mountain bike trails are much easier to walk on, but you have to listen for & watch for bikes & GET OUT OF THEIR WAY! The hiking & mountain biking trails are not as well identified as the paved trails so we ended up going all over on all sorts of trails & when we decided we should head back, it was an additional 3/4 mile before we reached our vehicles as we made our way out of the maze of trails. This is definitely a place we will walk again! It is about halfway from both Jonesborough & Bristol so it makes a great spot to meet. In addition, we will be learning the trails for weeks to come.Written 24 May 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ROXANN FFlorida58 contributionsLocated on the campus of ETSU in Johnson City this is a must place to take the grandkids. It’s absolutely amazing. It was very informative and the staff was great. One of the staff members we talked to said they will be moving to another location but wasn’t sure when that would take place. So maybe give them a call before visiting but it’s definitely something to see while you’re in town. Most that work here are volunteers. No charge to get in but the do except donations.Written 26 July 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- William BSarasota, FL208 contributionsI was checking on the Web for some places of interest and this place was in town and easy to access. Love the part where the initials J C are engraved in the brick pavers. A good place to bring children because they have facilities like swings, sliding boards etc. They also have public restrooms too.Written 29 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Twiggy327Ballston Lake, NY5 contributionsMy husband and I really enjoyed the approx. 5-mile loop at Buffalo Mtn. The fallen leaves made it a bit slippery coming down but the walk was pleasant, the views were terrific, and the trail(s) well marked. Our only complaint was lack of signs directing you to the park and lack of signs for parking and for which trails. We were first time visitors and had no idea where to go.Written 21 October 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - CelesteJohnsonJohnson City, TN108 contributionsThe Reece museum always has interesting displays. One of my favorite memories at the museum is the Salvador Dali art exhibit that featured a collection of paintings representing Dante's Inferno. Another interesting display was the eugenics portion from the Washington DC Holocaust Museum.Written 1 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
