the ship was nice. Our room steward was great. The dining staff was very good in the dining room and all food venues. The steak house surf and turf was great. We took a 7 day cruise from new your to St Johns, NB, Sydney NS, and Halifax, NS. I would not recommend this cruise to anyone. I fail to see why St. Johns and Sydney are even cruise stops. We flew into LaGuardia air port and located the Carnival person who was gathering the cruise customers to transfer to the cruise terminal. We had paid $40 each for this transfer and $40 each for the return transfer at the end of the cruise. This young lady was trying her best to accommodate all of us. She led us to the elevators and took us to the upper level where we were to meet the bus. But, no buses were there. She is constantly on her phone all this time trying to find out what we are supposed to do. She then is told to take us to another arei, so back to the elevators again and across the room to the pick up area, and again there are no buses. After a long time on her phone, she tells us they will provide cars to take us. They start loading 6 passengers in each Chev Suburban and after getting 6 cars filled, she is told to stop that, and we will have a bus in another part of the airport. So, back to the elevators and up to the next level again and then trek across to the other side, but again there is not bus. After a long wait, a bus does come to take us to the cruise terminal. That was a 2-hour ordeal at the airport. Embarkation went smooth and quickly. Halifax seemed to have a lot to offer tourists, so we purchased the Hop on Hop off package so we could stop at various attractions. There were 10 stops, and we noted that we would like to stop at stop 4 to shop, stop 9 for the titanic burial cemetery and exhibit, then stop 10 to be in walking distance to the recommended lobster restaurant for lunch. we got off at stop 4 and walked to step 5 but there were no shops. We tried to board the bus again at stop 5, but there was no room for us, so we were told to wait for the next bus. We waited for over an hour for the next bus, during which time enough people joined us in waiting for the next bus to totally fill an empty bus. By this time, we knew that even if the bus showed up in the next few minutes, we probably would not be able to get on. Also, if we had another hour plus wait at the next stop, we could not make it in time for lunch and return to the ship. So, we and another couple (we are 74 and they are 80) decided to walk back to the ship, which we did. It was a very long walk and we had missed everything we wanted to do. Fortunately, even though it was a gray line tour, they billed us through Carnival. When we notified guest services on the ship of our experience, our ticket price was refunded. Then, the cruise ended back in New York. De-embarkation went smoothly and quickly, until we exited the terminal. The only instruction we got was that if going on bus, turn left outside the door, and if needing a taxi, cross the street. So, we turned left and came to a bus parking area and were quickly joined by a couple thousand of our new friends. I saw 3 buses, and later found out that one was going to Newark. I assume the other 2 were going to LaGuardia, but we needed many buses, not 2. Both those buses soon left and we still had hundreds of people and no buses. At one point, word was passed that the carnival man said there was a shortage of buses, and his recommendation would be to cross the street and hire taxis. Some people did so. 6 suburban type vehicles arrived and started loading. We made our way to one of them but were too late and it was full. We then got to another one only to find out that it was not sent by Carnival but was ordered privately by other passengers. Shortly after that, a bus arrived, and the Carnival gut took us and another couple around the where that bus was loading and got us on that bus. Finally, we were on a bus after another 2-hour delay. After a long ride to the airport, the driver could not find American Airlines terminal. On the third tour through the airport, he found where he had missed the turn and we arrived at the terminal. We have cruised out of Boston, Miami, New Orleans, Galveston, Las Angeles, and Seattle, and have never not had buses ready to take us until New York. It was not just once, but both arrival and departure.

Carnival Magic was an excellent ship. Tons of activities, food was plentiful and good. Try the Guy Fieri Burger Bar for the best burgers. Buffet was limited but still something for everyone. The formal dining was excellent. Daily games, Bingo, Casino, dancing all hours of the day. The director Ryan Rose was the best ever. Got so involved with all passengers and ensured all had a good time. Shout out to Jesse who ran some of the activities. So much fun.

Hello, I’m returning from a 8 day cruise on Carnival Magic, from August 3-11. I wanted to report my worst experienced on this first time cruise with my family. My family and I was in our worst nightmare. My family and I were placed in stateroom 9392. Our stateroom was below the Lido deck (dining room). I could  not understand, why that was anyway. While I was booking the reservation, I clearly stated to the representative, not to place our room near an elevator, dining room, the pool or any heavy traffic area. As a first time cruiser with Carnival, I was under the impression that customer satisfaction was a first priority but I was wrong. We spent 7 days we couldn’t sleep. The amount of noise was so unbearable, that we had to report it to guest services . A man came to inspect the noise. I was told, definitely there’s always a noise in this stateroom, it’s not new. It was so sad to hear that. The day before, our last day 8/10/22, guest services called to offer us some ear plugs and a $150 credit to spend as an insult.  My family and I felt, that we were robbed of our peace. As a nurse working for 2 years during the worst time of covid-19, all my family and I wanted was some getaway time. Some things were great, housekeeping worked so hard. and the entertainment was excellent. We only spent 2hrs in Half Moon because the shuttle had mechanical issues, by the time we got there at 2 PM the day was almost over. The food was somewhat ok. I would like some explanations from Carnival Cruise to better understand the reasons as a costumer, why we were ignored and treated that way. They’re only concerned about money, not about their guests!

1st off, there was a COVID-19, out break on the ship and at NO time were the guest notified about it! The managers of the ship never said a word, not even mask up. They just let people get infected, even when we docked back to NYC, people were never told to at least get tested. THE STAFF KNEW, PUTTING PEOPLE'S LIVES AT RISK AND SAID NOTHING! 2nd, the food was substandard. It was salty also hell, full of gulten, the meat under cooked and no fresh fruit or vegetables. It is to say that not even a dog would eat it. I got food poisoned! When I saw the boat physician, it was no help! She was very cold hearted, dismissive and tried blaming me for being food poison and even tried to bill me for a EKG, ($700.00) that I never consented to. They medical staff was more interested in trying in money then the health of their guest. ($185) for a consultation. AND IF YOU DON’T HAVE MONEY TO PAY FOR CONSULT OR TREATMENT, THEY WILL LEAVE YOU SICK! 3rd, guest services went into my checking account and took ( stolen) money they were NEVER AUTHORIZED TO DO! That's bank fraud! 4th, They used salt water from the sea as pool water! I went in once and had to get out, it was just disgusting! 5th, if you needed/ wanted internet, you had to pay for it. $17.00 to $25.00 for 24 hours and $ 130.00 for the entire trip, per person! I could go and on with my HORRIBLE experiences! So, I leave the reader with this.... DON’T TRAVEL WITH CARNIVAL CRUISE! unless you're looking forward to possibly getting infected with COVID-19, FOOD POISONED, LIED TO! THEY PUT PROFIT OVER THE LIFE'S OF THEIR GUEST!

We left Port Everglades on October 26th, 2019 for an 8 day Eastern Caribbean cruise. Boarding was super quick, only took 15 minutes. I've been on the ship multiple times so I knew what to expect and all. Ship is beautifully appointed and have the friendliest staff at sea I think. My room was an after Balcony on deck 9. I was worried about noise from above at night/day but never heard anything except the tranquil sea. The lido buffet and dining room was amazing. Never any bad food throughout the 8 days. I highly suggest this ship to anyone looking.
