The ship is well maintained and has excellent facilities particularly bars and restaurants. There are many entertainment venues on board including an excellent main theatre. Other facilities include the best equipped gym I've ever been in, a large casino, blackjack odds 6 to 5! (so didn't participate) and a shopping arcade some shops reasonably priced some less so. Beware the art auction. Our cabin was good. Excellent friendly daily cleaning. Note. We originally booked an outside cabin but upgraded just prior to the cruise at a lower cost possible if the ship isn't full. Excellent food and drinks. Service in the Silhouette restaurant was very good as was the food. Ocean View buffet was incredible in the range and quality of food on offer. There was so much good food available, we saw a lot of gluttony going on but hey ho. Several optional specialist restaurants at premium prices but probably better value than the excursions for using your on-ship dollar credits. 2 bars only served Premium drinks which was annoying. Entertainment on board was hit and miss. Nice mix of music acts some better than others, shows put on by the ships own team of young dancers and singers was good. Comedy was embarrassingly bad, except Kevin Jordan who was good. Some technical issues messed up 2 shows. The ships disco in the Sky Observation Lounge was good but the DJ was a bit predictable and had an irritating way of fading songs in and out. Plenty going on around the main pool areas but we preferred the bars at the stern which were generally quieter. Island stops gave enough time to tour the islands and a little shopping. Not sure why we stopped at Martinique on Sunday as everything was closed. Ship excursions massively over-priced which was no doubt designed to soak up on-ship dollar credits. All the crew wore masks, however, I caught covid whilst on board or maybe on the aircraft on route (only confirmed on my return). I would guess it was pretty common on board but didn't seem to affect anyone's enjoyment of the cruise. Just one of those things we have to get use to and live with. The level of service provided by the multinational crew was outstanding.

Sailed aboard the Equinox on an Ultimate Southern Caribbean cruise in August 2022 in Retreat class. I could not fault any aspect of the service from start to finish. From the moment we arrived at Port Everglades terminal 25 (Celebrity’s newest terminal) the service was impeccable. The Equinox is modern and stylish, and spotlessly clean throughout. We stayed in the Penthouse – which is the top level suite in Retreat class on this ship, and our stateroom was amazing. Plenty of inside and outside space – and the largest bathroom I have ever seen anywhere! There is some amazing food to be had onboard – particularly in the speciality restaurants and in Luminae. Our favourite speciality restaurant was Murano – where we had some stunning dishes. We enjoyed Murano so much we dined there 4 out of our 10 nights on board. Food was generally of a high standard across the ship, including the buffet (Ocean View Café) and the Mast Grill which serves burgers and hot dogs. The main dining room is a bit average when compared to some of the other food options. We booked several excursions through Celebrity and all were well organised, professional and very informative. We also did the inside access tour – which if you’ve never cruised before is a fascinating insight into life behind the scenes. The only aspect of the cruise that disappointed me was the entertainment. Live music onboard was quite dull and generally not of a great quality. I was expecting a far higher standard of musicianship given that the cruise industry in general has a reputation for great live music – and this is the reason for the loss of a star. Despite the entertainment shortcomings this was still a fantastic cruise. If you are looking at cruising with Celebrity, I’d certainly recommend the Retreat if you can afford it. Even if you’re not in Retreat class you can still visit all the speciality restaurants. Le Petit Chef was really good fun and if you have kids it’s well worth a visit due to the interactive nature.

I had a horrible experience with racial profiling and discrimination while traveling on the Celebrity Equinox. I was a solo traveler and the woman seating people made up some rule about single people having to dine alone on Celebrity cruises due to company policy. Having been on 30+ cruises, I knew that there was not such policy and called her out on it, but her boss said that it was a new policy just on this cruise. I escalated to the Restaurant Manager and he said that it was a company-wide policy. When I wrote to the CEOs office, they said that there was no such policy, but the CEOs office said that if I would get along better with people, I wouldn't experience racism while traveling on Celebrity in the future!!! I am more stunned by the Celebrity CEOs attitude towards racial profiling than I am by what happened!

This was our 3rd and 4th trip with Celebrity. 80% of our shore excursions we felt were a rip off. We did a shopping tour in Cozumel in Mexico and he just took us to the same shops you get at the terminal. We did a tasting tour in Nassau and he took us too some real dives. Then all the other stops were to try and get us to buy stuff not a real tasting tour. Then at the end asking for tips really annoyed us. Considering how much Celebrity charge for these tours you would expect them to be at a higher level. Ocean view buffet food was not great - especially breakfast. Tuscan was a disappointment. My husband paid extra for the aged steak and it was overcooked but raw in the middle. They had clearly flipped it too many times. The service is not as good as Le Petite. Le Petite was worth the extra money as the food and service was flawless. Passport Bar is a must - the team remember your drinks and are just a great group of friendly guys.

Last month went on my first cruise in 2 1/2 years. Booked a Concierge balcony. Nice cabin with some extra amenities. Balcony allowed me to sit out there and sleeping and enjoying the fresh air. Breakfast out there was also very nice. Weather was perfect for it. Got some snacks every afternoon. Basic Drink package was sufficient for my rum and vodka drinks. Also great for dinner wines and lunch sodas. Specialty coffees also included. Dinner at specialty restaurants were not as good as last time i was on the ship but still good. Main dining rooms were ok. Buffet was good. Get there early to avoid people going through food. Service from crew was outstanding. Room stewards were pleasant, helpful and helpful. They know who you are after the first night and always called us by name. Ship was only at 60% therefore not much waiting at restaurants, shows, elevators or getting in/out of ship. Can't wait for the next cruise.
