Having been on the MSC Divina to the same destination previously we were excited to do it all again. The Seaside is a much bigger ship and the rooms are more modern. The food in the buffet area is very good. We noticed, though that the portions in the main restaurant were smaller and they started charging for extra mains. Pools on board for kids were so crowded there was barely a space in the pool. The outside court was unusable due to the heat. Positive experience but kind of disappointing because there were so many people.…

Multiple reasons why my wife and I along with our other friends (everyone in their 50's) will not cruise with MSC: - Bartender service was terrible from the time of service, quality of service, and quality of drink served. - Constant harassment to purchase specialty restaurant packages. Evidently if you don't buy one you can't get a reservation at the restaurant...we tried to have tacos at Hola! one night and I asked if we needed a reservation and they said no. Roughly 20 minutes later our group of 6 arrived and asked for a table and they said they were booked when we saw 10 open tables and nobody was in line to enter the restaurant. - Excursion organization was horrid. Takes forever to get off the boat and forever to get back on...we had one instance where an MSC employee actually let us board at the "Yacht Club" entrance and we got right on the boat (lucky day). Just plan to be in the sun/heat for at least an hour before you get on the buses for the excursions. - Minimal pool drinks served so you have to stand in line at the bars and be ignored until you are rude and yell at the bartender. There is usually a single person that can swipe your card to get the drink...bartenders are mixing drinks and don't take payment. A few of them went out of their way to take our cards and swiped them or handed them to the swiper. - When at the Sports Bar the waiter/waitress that takes your order may not tell the bartender the correct drink you ordered. Got drink wrong twice before I raised my voice and asked if they knew what a Cape Cod was...had to tell them vodka + cranberry before they got it right. - The cruise ship was nice and the room servers were very good, no complaints there. The management or lack of is the issue. Customer service constantly told you that you will have to get that taken care of somewhere else on the ship. Seems like there are 15 different customer service departments and you have to travel the entire ship to find them all. The main customer service will help you with your ship card if it is damaged, but outside of that we got no service from them. - We have one individual in our group that does not drink and they insisted that he get an alcoholic drink package. That took us over an hour to get squared away with a threatening comment of "we will be watching you" once they fixed it. - The dress code for the nightly dinners was not enforced. Several tee shirts and shorts were worn at the nightly dinner in the Green Wave Restaurant despite the required slacks and collared shirt. - Overall the servers seemed like they hated their jobs and you were a burden on them. Tips were included with the package, but we tipped our room cleaner and few others if they provided good service. - Food was OK at the buffet which is where we were most times, but the nightly dinners were nothing special and mostly not what you expect which is what drove us to the buffet. No real order at the buffet...lot of cutting in line and reaching over you. No one brought order to the chaos...you just had to deal with it. - The ship was kept clean, but I will add that one of our friends did bring home COVID-19 with her which is the fear when you cruise these days. The remaining 5 of us will have to see if we get it. For now my wife and I are good we think!…

I’ve taken over 70 cruises, this was my first and last with MSC. Crew has not been trained (clueless), Food was terrible (dining room was a nightmare), worst mixed drinks at the bars, no shows, elevators system is the worst. Paid $32 for a bottle of Merlot in my room which was stolen (have to blame the cabin steward). I complained and they don’t care 😡🤬…

It had been many years since our last cruise. We have taken royal Caribbean in the past and decided to try msc this trip based on cost. You get what you pay for! The ship and balcony room were both very nice but you will have to pay extra for most everything else. The food was mediocre at best. For a charge you could upgrade the main dining room meal and it was good but in the past all meals and the buffets were of this quality without having to pay more. We aren't real drinkers so we only needed sodas and waters during our trip but you have to purchase packages for everyone in you room so we decided to just get drinks as needed. This proved to be a hassle just to get them. Other than our room steward it was difficult to find staff that were very friendly and helpful. We will not be going back to msc for future cruise.…

If this cruise company can't even communicate threw email. Then the cruise itself will be just as disappointing. I reserved a cruise for November. Now I constantly got emails for upgrades for my upcoming cruise. Which all came from msc. But the most important email came from some invoice company which went to my spam folder. I tried to log onto my app and it wouldn't work. I even reinstalled the app. After digging in my email trying to see if I missed something did I find this unrelated email. It said I had 7 days to pay which I would have had I seen the email. NO FOLLOW-UP EMAIL...NO ALERT ON THE APP. just some out sourced pdf file one time. Guess I'll continue to give my money to royal 5 times a year. Get with the times MSC thanks for the heads up.…
