I had a flight delay and missed the departure. When I called Norwegian to find out what to do, I was offered to meet the ship at the first port of call. They assured me that the flight would get me close to the ship, so I expected a cab ride or shuttle. I was unprepared for a country where I didn't speak the language and the flight left me at a small town in Mexico. I had to find a way to get the two hour car ride to the coast. It was expensive and Norwegian was completely unsympathetic. I suppose I should just be happy I wasn't kidnapped.

Please check all cruise lines before deciding for actual time in ports. This ship gets there at 6:30 and wants you back in a few hours so everyone crowds off at once. I would not recommend it if you actually want to enjoy Alaska.

My cruise hasn’t even started yet (due to start this September). and I’ve so far run into problem after problem. For weeks now I have waited for a call back and have yet to receive one. I have called customer service many times, only to be transferred again and again, and disconnected again and again. I dial the correct air department numbers and hit the correct air department prompts, only to experience all of the aforementioned issues, you guessed it, again and again. The reps you speak with are completely clueless, near deer in headlights approach to anything. They sound so miserable on the line and are quick to transfer, as if to say, “not my problem.” I even had a supervisor take my call once and instead of helping me, he chastised about reaching the wrong department for the assistance I was seeking. GREAT JOB GUYS. I have sailed with several other cruise liners before but this is my first with NCL. The customer service with this cruise liner has been SO bad that I’m considering canceling the entire reservation and going with someone else. I am trying to reserve my air arrangements and have been thoroughly unsuccessful thus far. I initially spoke with someone about this several weeks ago because the return flight they proposed would result in leaving me stranded in the airport for 13 hours before the plane even took off, which they seemed to think was ok. I was awaiting a call back that never happened. Now customer service is saying to just respond to the original email. The same email that no longer works and gives off errors, likely because I’ve waited so long. I won’t hold my breath for a response.

BUYERS BEWARE - Norwegian Cruise Lines is the WORST!!! Once you commit to your cruise, be ready to be misinformed, given incorrect information, not getting good customer service. They do NOT care about anything except the money. I have been told by friends that they were good, but PRIOR to Covid, now they are horrible.

Loved every minute of this cruise! Had a lovely large, clean stateroom with a balcony - meant that we could admire the stunning Alaska vistas away from the crowds. Every port we visited was stunning in its own way but Icy Straits Point was one of my favourite destinations. The food was excellent, especially in the speciality restaurants but the other restaurant had a variety of cuisines to choose from which were tasty too. Staff on board were hard working, friendly, happy and a credit to NCL. When leaving and returning to the ship NCL staff were organised and we rarely had to queue. I would highly recommend an Alaskan cruise and NCL Bliss too.
