I’m wondering if someone can help explain the rooms at this resort. I’ve booked an ocean view room but now I see there seems to be two different classes of ocean view... standard and deluxe. Can anyone explain how these differ in location, amenities etc..? Which rooms are renovated with newer beds? Also I was told there is two sections to the resort. One being the ‘beach section’ that is supposedly newer and nicer. Any confirmation of this? Thanks (:
Is there a market that comes to the resort, or do you go to the towns? Also as a collector of Lucha Libre masks, are there any spots to purchase said masks?
Are there really no safes in the room? If that is true where did you keep cash and or valuables, passports, credit cards etc while at the beach?
We're thinking of booking the standard ocean view room through Westjet (they don't offer the deluxe room option or the boutique room options) and I'm wondering how serious is the noise factor is as I'm concerned about the noise complaints of a lot of people around the live band and dancing at the ocean front buffet/bar and the bar to the south of the complex. Can the noise be drowned out by ear plugs and white noise in the room or is it loud enough that those tricks won't work? I'm also wondering if anyone out there has booked via westjet vacations or other canadian travel company and not had the option to upgrade, if you were able to call the hotel and upgrade to the deluxe room so we could get a potentially better location? I'm concerned the standard ocean front rooms are the rooms closer to the noise late in the evening.
The resort and beach look lovely otherwise, I just like to get a lot of sleep on my vacation.
