Hi, what is the best route to take?? We have one week, starting from Brewood. Just wondering which routes pass the best places for provisions, and pubs??? any feed back would be greatly appreciated. Also, can anyone suggest which book to purchase? Thanks Sue

Hi,

We went on the Sir Melleaus for a week, 3 weeks ago and did a vv in the direction of Chester. Made it to the castle on the hill. Very nice trip. Others may like to take the ring or go left to Wales and back. We have no experience with other routes. Audlem is a good stop for provisions and books, pubs enough plenty on the canal. You can find all in this publication we got from Waterstones:

Title: Four Counties & the Welsh Canals No. 4 - Collins Nicholson Waterways Guides (Spiral bound)

Author: Collins Maps

ISBN: 9780008101596

Price: 16.99

Enjoy!

Regards,

Leonard
