The St. Regis Mexico City Questions & Answers

San Francisco, California

He everyone! Thanks for the quick answers. I am booked at the St. Regis but want to make sure this hotel is just not a business hotel in a business district. Is the in the popular part of town or am I going to have to taxi everywhere? I want to be able to just hit the road and find everything fairly close. I don't want to spend my time in a cab or hiring a driver all the time. I like being in the middle of it all. Is this the right place? Or, should I look elsewhere and if so, where?

You have restos right in the area (walkable, and yes, it's safe), you have a bakery and wine shop across the street, and you have a metro (and yes, it's safe) not 5 minutes away. I did Ubers and then relied on taxis--none of them fleeced me.

Mexico City is a big sprawling city. You will need to Uber to get around or hire a local guide/driver if you want to cover the major tourist sights (a our guide isvery good option if you want to understand what you are seeing). The hotel is in a good location for restaurants and you can safely walk around the area. It also has nice amenities, a good bar, and great service.

You are close to some of the best restaurants in Mexico City, but will still need to take some cabs. If you prefer everything within walking distance, your best option is Polanco
