How do you get from Heathrow airport by train/Subway to the Blades Hotel in Pimlico district ?
Many thanks for your enquiry and if you wish to come by tube, the cheapest way to travel in London is using an Oyster Card which is a contactless card that you have to tap in and off of the tube and offer you better value that the day travel card. To rent an Oyster Card, you can ask at the tube station assistance at Heathrow Terminal and there is GBP5.00 deposit which you can have back when you leave along with the residual in you card. You can just charge for pay as you go to use the capping. Capping is a feature of pay as you go which allows you to make a number of journeys in a single day but limits the amount you pay for your travel. Each time you make a journey, you are charged a fare. Once the total cost of all your fares reaches a certain amount you won't have to pay for any more journeys for the rest of the day. This is called a cap and the cost is GBP8.80 for zone 1-6 (as you are at Heathrow). From Heathrow then you can take the Piccadilly Line (blue line) and change at Green Park for the Victoria Line (light blue line) and stop at Pimlico for a journey of 40-45 mins roughly.
Take the Heathrow Express (Train) from Heathrow to Paddington. Takes less than 20 minutes. You can save money by taking the underground but takes much longer.
At Paddington take the underground (Circle Line - Yellow) going south to Victoria.
From Victoria take the underground (Victoria - Blue) going south to Pimlico.
From Pimlico it is a short and pleasant walk to the hotel.
I strongly recommend the Spanish restaurant nearby, reception at the hotel can give you directions.
