Is this Tour suitable for teenagers who are not old enough to watch Game of Thrones. I've never watched it but understand it has some very adult themes. Will a lack of knowledge about the show matter?
Agree with the other answers you must get Derrick! GoT is just part of the tour, to be on the Antrim Coast and see the Causeway is well worth it. The GoT stuff is an added bonus.
If by the luck of god you get Derrick you are in for a wonderful trip, he explained the show the history of the area. Hopefully you will get a smaller tour bus he will take you to a few remote places where bigger tours could not access. Derrick went beyond to make sure all was comfortable and gave ample time to tour places, get a bite take photos and just shoot the breeze.
It should be no problem for teens. As a matter of fact its good exercise..Its beautiful scenery through Nothern Irelands coast and towns. You all will enjoy it.A knowledge of the show would be good.My wife loves the show. I do not watch it so she filled in the blanks for me
The Giants Causeway alone is worth the trip. The scenery is excellent as you might get expect,it is Ireland after all. Most people on our bus did watch GOT but it is not essential.
you could take a teen on this tour and dont need to be a fan of the show. Being a fan just adds a little extra. It's a great tour
I think it would be fine-we had a toddler on our tour. Even without a knowledge of the show, the scenery is beautiful enough to make it worthwhile. Our group didn't talk to much about the show, mostly just a brief "this is where they filmed xyz" and then we had time to look around and enjoy the views. Overall this is one of the best day trips I have taken because of the excellent guide and beautiful scenery.
It's a good tour regardless of whether they've seen the show. We had a few people on ours who hadn't seen it. Obviously, some of the stops might not be as interesting -- but there's still plenty to see.
Like the other answers, yes, you must get Derrick for the tour if by any luck; and no, you don't need to know/watch GoT to take the tour. The scenery you'll enjoy on the tour is worth of every penny. The tour guide might show some GoT clips before letting people get off to check out the spots, but those clips are neither sensitive nor controversial.
If by the luck of god you get Darren, no. Guy was outstanding very knowledgeable about the show and if you do get more luck and get the smaller bus you will get to scenes that will stop your breath. We did Carrick Rope Bridge it is not an easy walk but was worth With the beautiful views.
