How much is the train from the airport to the central station? Also when is the latest one? As I don't land till 10pm
The train fare is €5.20 one way. Trains run up to 10 timezs per hour between 0600 and 0100.
The train cost 5.30 euros, and runs all night long
You'll see others have answered your query already. You can also get a chipkaart, which you can load with enough money to cover all your bus/tram/train journeys while you are there. The card costs 5€, plus whatever value you want to add. It will last for five years. We've used one for all of five years and have just renewed them. You just touch in at station barriers and touch out at the other end when you arrive. On buses and trams you just touch in and out at the entry and exit doors (like using an Oyster card in London). It saves so much time as you don't have to faff around with coins or change buying individual tickets. You can get one of these at the ticket office in the station at Schiphol.
Trains run regularly. Perhaps with less frequency around your arrival time, but you shouldn't have to wait too long. The ultimate destinations might be different, but many trains go to or through Amsterdam Centraal.
