My wife is organising a retirement evening for one of the work colleagues do I need to book and if so do you need a deposit about 20 to 30 people are attending.We would like it for the 4th of november.

As above, definitely book and why not ask if a buffet service is available for that number? A deposit is likely and I would also suggest the upper floor. Excellent! DC.

Yes you definitely need to book, but you would have to ask them if you have to give a deposit for that amount of people.

Definately a great place for a retirement do - and yes you need to book - even for 2 - as it is so popular with excellent food and ambience. Upstairs is preferred if you can get it. Enjoy !! - you won't be disappointed.

Yes you will need to book for a party of that size. It's a very popular place so I'd book early if I were you

I would always advise you to book whether just for 2 or a large group like yours. Not sure about the deposit but logically it would be prudent for them to request one as you would be taking a large part of the restaurant. We went with a group of 40 and it was excellent they took individual orders and served the tables all together.

it's a big group so definitely book.

Upstairs is nicer so try asking for that area. Food is great.
