Hi there, I'm planning to visit Bimmah Sink hole on January 6th, I would like to ask about the weather then and how long time do you usually spend there?
Also public toilet facility available. Also one security post also there. But it is recommended you to not try to jump from the edges and trying to play if you are not an expert swimmer. Overall you can enjoy with your family.
Hi, you can spend what ever the number of hours inside the water. It's depend one you. This time cool climate. Take all necessary foods and enough water before you reach the place. Nice place can spend time and enjoy with family.
Hi, I am not from Oman, but I know weather in January is fine, not too hot.
For me, spend 2 hours stopping there, swim and maybe take a rest or picnic would be sufficient.
Weather will be great! Right now it is perfect out. As for the sinkhole we have gone twice. Once me and wife and once with kids when they visited. You can spend 30 minutes or you can spend hours if you swim and like to jump off cliffs. Most people go for an hour and leave.
Close by is Wadi Shab (about 30 min) of which is another nice place to go. You park, cross the water in a boat (1 OMR) and hike about 1.5 hours to a small waterfall and pool of water. Good pictures there too.
The sinkhole is also right next to the beach. Once you see the clear waters you will most likely stop to take pictures there.
That depends on what you would like to do and if you have a 4x4 car. You can hike and swim Wadi al Aardbeieen (brilliant thing to do), visit the turtle reserve (but it's the off season so probably no turtles). We did a lot of these things while we were there. More tips can be found on my Tripadvisor account as I rated most things we visited. All within 3 hours drive of Muscat.
The weather most likely will be fine, as in somewhere between 20-25 degrees Celsius. We spend only 30 minutes there but if you want to go for a swim, take some more time.
Hey the weather will still be warmish, and the best time to go would be early morning (not as busy) I spend up to an hour or two there depending if you like to swim and jump in.
Thanks Amila, as I see, you are from Muscat, so may ask you about attractions in Muscat, taking in consideration that I will arrive on a friday, and unfortunately most of the museums and historical places are closed.
