We want to bring our motorhome to Belfast first and then tour to the Giant Causeway taking about a week in all.
Any suggestions on where we should stop off? What not to miss? How long to stay at each place?
If you base yourself near Ballycastle you should be able to do all of the Causeway coast (don't Miss Ballintoy Harbour)
The Glenn's of Antrim , Antrim coast road
Dark Hedges Ect & Some time to cross the Border & Do County Donegal
the whole northern coast is fabulous - we were extremely lucky with the weather though! I loved both NT places on that coast. We wanted to do more but ran out of time - a walk around Belfast itself is a must, and we enjoyed the Titanic exhibition - quite an impressive building in itself. hope you have a great time.
The easiest thing to do is head for the North Atlantic coast and weave your way around stopping at Ballycastle, Portrush and Castlerock to name a few and the latter having a 9 mile blue flag beech. Strongly recommend to cross over into Donegal and see some of that coastline and try and make a visit to Tory Island
We were on a bus tour, so our stops were picked. All along the coast road is an experience, so just take your time and enjoy. Between the rocks, the castles and the sea, you can't go wrong.
