I need to go from Palm Beach to the cruise office by 12 noon on Easter Sunday using public transport. How will I travel?
Wanting to travel Easter Sunday ...you need to check if busses will be running ..
Your accomodation house could possibly find out for you , or you could ring the Gold Coast bus lines ..
To be honest I'd be booking a taxi ...or Uber if they have them in Queensland ...no good missing the cruise for a few $$$$"s
Hope this helps !
Trams go fown goldCoast higheay every 1p mins from Pacific Fair to Southport.
Public Transport such as Translink will be running as per their "Sunday" service over the Easter Break - so for Easter Sunday you'll need to :
Catch the 700/777 Bus from either 19th or 5th/6th Ave in Palm Beach (depending on which is closer to you*) at 10.26am which will take you to Broadbeach. 15-20mins.
Get off there and catch the "Tram" (which on the Easter Sunday should be running on the hour -: To Cavill Ave (5 Stops from where the Trams start) 10mins.
Then turn left into Cavill Ave and walk down to the River Cruises - about 5mins.
You'll be early (as I believe the Trams may only be running hourly Easter Sunday) but better than "missing the boat"!! :)
Have fun!! It's a great trip - don't forget your camera.
I agree with Sarah M - the queensland transport website will give you the best options for a Public Holiday. The next most inexpensive alternative is Uber
public holiday might be a problem as the bus service is not as regular, if you are staying in a motel prior to the cruise, ask the person on desk duty, there are taxis but not sure of the cost from palm beach, pretty sure you will get a bus even if you have to be in surfers a little earlier you can always find something to do to fill in the time..have fun you will enjoy the cruise
Just like our system you need to check public time tables.if they go a bit earlier than your cruise have a look around sufers for awhile and have a cuppa. The tram stops somewhere near the casino and goes right into surfers. Hope you enjoy the cruise we did . Heather Melbourne
