Is there free parking? We intend to rent a car to use it for sight seeing, if car park is not free, how much would it cost for 5 days?

Dear Dhaneshj2

When you have a moment please visit our website and join our Punthill Rewards program. Once you have joined, you will receive a code which will enable you to access our best available rates, enjoy member priority access to all sale events and you will have free wifi for all future stays. We have very limited carparking on site that must be pre booked prior to your arrival. It is $19 per day with unlimited access. If the spaces are already booked, we do have an arrangement with a carpark that is only one block away.

We look forward to you welcoming you to Punthill Little Bourke.

Kind regards,

We pre-booked one of a limited number of car park spaces before travelling. I can't remember how much but am sure the answer is on the website - between $30-50 per day.

Being centrally located in the middle of the Melbourne CBD we decided to cancel the car park and returned the rental car earlier and spent the savings at the Victoria Markets.

If you want to sight see then the public transport and the hop on hop off tour buses are much better options as driving in the city can be very, very frustrating and I deal with London on a daily basis. There is car parking in the street but it's not free and there are car parks nearby, also for a fee. My advice is to only use a hire car when you are going to be out of Melbourne. To be honest it's not a big city and although we're in our mid fifties we walked about for most of the time.

Hope this is of some help to you.

Parking is available. I can't remember exactly how much (maybe $30- $50) per day.
