it depends , if the extra cost is low that yes , we had a deal of half board that was really cheep, they give you to choose 1 plate from the apetaziers and 1 from the main(but it reapets itself along the week) drinks are not included, so make your own calculation
I just had B&B but there are lots of places nearby to eat.
I think it was a choice between two - three dishes. It was included when we where there. Prices in town was surprisingly high.
We had breakfast each day and that was very good. Included sparkling wine. Rest of the time we ate out. Although had a bad experience at the diner with a Harley Shop where they served rancid chicken. Everything else we are was really good in Riga
The food was excellent ,we had full board. It is restrictive as you must return to the hotel but in the spring not as many options as now in summer.
We only went bed and breakfast when we stayed there but you are so close to lots of cafe's and restaurants. We felt it a bit restrictive returning for dinner so didn't bother.
We ate at the hotel one night because they offered us a complimentary meal and the food was very good and the menu quite varied, we never tend to do half board because we like to try other restaurants. We ate st the Irish bar (sorry can't remember the name!) but the Irish music was entertaining and the fish and chips brilliant.
Personally I wouldn't bother with half board at the hotel. There is notjhing wrong with the food but there are so many good restaurants all around that you would limit yourself and your expereince of Riga by eating where you are staying.
