When you purchased the preferred package for hte electrical parade; was your view from the table or did you have preferred seating for the parade outside of the restaurant? Would like know of your seating and if you had a better view with no wait. Thank you.
I'm a little confused as to what exactly you're looking for. I'm unfamiliar with any "preferred package".
To my knowledge there is no view of the electrical parade from the Blue Bayou as it moves from Small World to Main Street and then back later in the evening. Blue Bayou is above Pirates of the Caribbean, well west of the parade route. There may be restaurants that offer parade views (I believe there is a cafe seating area on the west side of the Plaza/circle that is first come, first served).
The waterside table at Blue Bayou was inside the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. I was able to get it by requesting it 30 minutes prior to my reservation and we were seated slightly before.
I hope this answers your question. Please feel free to clarify if I missed the mark. Happy travels!
The restaurant has no view for parade. The "preferred" viewing is later in the very front of the park near Main Street station . It is standing or sitting on side walk , no seating. This is where Parade ends , so you wait a spell before the parade gets to you . I love the parade , its amazing . But in order to get good spot in the preferred area you still need to arrive early . It's like you can't get around the wait for this parade .
When you book the package, you have your meal in the restaurant (no windows, but instead a view of the interior of Pirates of the Caribbean attraction). You then head over to the top of Main Street, to a roped-off area where you can sit on the curb or stand behind the curb and wait for the parade.
We wanted curbside seating, so we sat down by about 7:15pm for the 8:30pm parade. It started on the other side of the park, so the parade didn't arrive until about 8:45pm. It is a long time to wait, but the view and experience cannot be beat. I would suggest taking something to sit on (a blanket or sweatshirt) for cushion and be sure to get up & stretch a lot while you're waiting. It is a long parade (about 25 minutes), so you'll be sitting for awhile.
As an aside, you can get to the roped-off preferred seating area as late as 8:15pm, but you'll probably end up sitting a couple rows of people back (on the ground - no chairs).
The Blue Bayou seating is primarily inside with no outside view. If you make a "standard" reservation inside you will not be able to view the parade. Please call Disney Dining and specify what you are looking for.
(I've never actually booked a parade view seat.)
