Bangkok Food Tours Questions & Answers

oxford, uk

My husband and I are booked onto the midnight food tour. I've read a couple of reviews that say some dishes aren't included in the price such as the Pad Thai.

Could anyone tell me whether there are any additional costs (tipping excluded) on the midnight tour?

We went on this tour in January. Pad Thai was definitely included in both traditional and modern versions. Bottled water was included and plentiful. We tipped the guide and the tuk tuk driver. Well worth it.

Same with us - everything was included. In fact we really wanted to try grasshoppers, crickets, etc. Our guide paid for them. If you want to buy anything at the flower market or alcohol at the rooftop bar, that's on you. One non alcoholic drink is included. Enjoy!

I cannot answer your question directly; however that was not our experience either in terms of surcharges or tipping. However in Australia we have the advantage of many Thai restaurants and cafes and based on our experience we found the quality of the food on Bangkok Food Tours extremely disappointing- as per my review earlier this year. Obviously I cannot comment on the food quality on tours offered by other companies.

We attended the Chinatown food tour, everything was included except beers which we ordered separately. I would advice you to go hungry, the amount of food available was substantial!
