If we take the train from the airport, where would we get off?
Easier to take the shuttle. Actually, I took the train(45baht) to Phaya Thai and took a motorbike (100baht) to the hotel.
You get off at the end of the Sky Train . Sky train cost b20 . Then you have to catch a taxi to the Rambuttri. Will still take about .30 minutes and cost B100. ( 2.5 pounds) . The Sky Train only takes about 20 minutes. Good trip .
Koh San area lots of fun. Plenty of pubs and cheap eats.
I don't know the answer to that, but wherever you do, you can simply (and inexpensively) take a cab to Khaosan Road and the hotel.
It depends where you are going.
If you get a taxi just make sure you stipulate it's on the meter. Many drivers will try and con you and quote you an extortionate price.
For example on the meter including tolls would cost you around 400 baht to Khaisan Rd. One driver tried to quote us 1200 baht.
And never tell them it's your first time in Thailand if it is. That's a red flag to a bull to con men because they'll assume you're easy to rip off.
I am sorry I did not take the train. If you email the hotel they will tell you.
From the airport train, take it to the last stop Phaya thai. The train cost 30b. From that location, take a tuk tuk to hotel. Cost 100b I think. This is the cheapest method.
Thank you all for your support and advice.
You can get a bus from the airport on level 1 , i think it was green (just ask) cost 60 bhat and drops you 1 min walk from hotel. Just let them know RAMBUTTRI VILLAGE INN and they will help you as its a very common place.
