Yes, You have to book it from 31.12 as per hotel day starts from 14:00. You can try to negociate some late arrival rate but it is New Year eve so can be difficult

Most definitely even though you won't get the full value.

hi strongly suggest you book 12/31 as well, for a start you are right in the heart of New Year's day public parties and it can get challenging. a lot of locals book rooms for events like this so you will not get your room until the earliest 3PM on 1st of Jan. so strongly suggest you book for 12/31 and finally make it very clear to them that you are only checking in on 1st Jan 2015 0100 hrs so that they don't think you are a no show

Yes - that is the usual thing.

Hotels tend to have check-in times from 12 noon and start the 'day' from then - per 24 hours.

Yes, you'd have to book 31st December also. The reason being, you won't be able to check in until the afternoon of the 1st January. So if you arrive on 31st night, you'll have nowhere to spend the night. Its a good start to 2015, and I wish you a Happy New Year. Enjoy your stay at Pan Pacific. Regards, Gul
