Not sure, but 2-3 acres seems about right. Unless you want to actually read each tablet, there is no need to cover it all. We found a short stroll around gave us all the full ambience and insight into this extraordinary undertaking.

I was there and now at home, I was pondering the actual size of the largest book in the world. I e-mailed our guide, Tun Tun, in Myanmar. His answer is 13 acres. Although I am illiterate in that country, I can appreciate the book's purpose and beauty. Thanks to the above for your speculation on its size. Now you know, it is an astounding 13 acres!

I have no idea . But easily walkable if you want to see all the pages (blocks of cement) about 1.5 metres by 1.5 metres and each is in a cement temple about 4 metres square.

Oops, sorry I dont know officially how many acres it covers but I would estimate it to be an acre cause it looks like one block from the street. We didnt go around cause it was raining.

Interesting question. I can't say for certainty how many acres the complex covers but I will hazard as guess and say 3 to 4 acres. It really is quite impressive -- and when a person views it and thinks of all the man-hours that must have gone into carving all the individual tablets contained within the site it really boggles the imagination.

Because of the way that things are laid out you do not need to cover the whole site to get the big picture of the site -- you can view as little or as much as you want and still be fascinated by the complex.

Go take a look and let me know how many acres you think it is!

Hope this helps you.
