The taxi rates from the Jose Maria Cordova airport in Rio Negro (MDE, the international airport) are fixed and posted by the exit. Cost us 65,000 COP (approx $22 US) and is about a 45 min ride.

You have to take a taxi to go to Medellín. The taxi can leave you in El Poblado or you can ask him to leave you in a metro station and continue your ride in Metro to the station closest to your hotel

I'm not sure on the most affordable way, but we flew in to Olaya & a taxi was about 10000COP to our hostel in Manila. A taxi to Jose Maria Cordova leaving at 330am was 75000 COP and took 50 mins. If you travel to the Further airport there is a supplement after midnight, usually it's about 60000 COP

The airport is one hour away I remember we arrived very late and we shared a taxi we were 4 so you can find other people to share with at the airport if you arrive during the day I think there is bus or shuttle but not sure ..
