are there good facilities for people in wheelchairs for transportation in buses and also for Christ redeemer and sugarloaf mountain?
Thanks a lot, would you know if there was one accessible for sugarloaf mountain too?
To reach Christ the Redeemer you first take a cog train. I do not recall seeing any folks in wheelchairs the day I visited. However the train looked like it could accommodate a wheelchair. Once out of the train we took an elevator to the next "level". The elevator should be able to accomodate a wheelchair. the final leg is an escalator which was not particularly long. I am not sure if there is an additional elevator at this point. I tend to think that they would be able to accomodate a wheelchair as this is such a popular attraction. Google the cog train and they should have some additional information pertaining to visitors requiring a wheelchair. Best of luck! I hope you can experience this amazing site!
