My husband has a gluten allergy and a soy allergy. Are there options for him at the Mona Lisa?
I think you could navigate around his allergies if you inform the waitress. Obviously the severity of his allergies dictates how preventative you need to be. However, since it's not a sandwich place, I'd think it should be very doable.
The entree course of seafood should be gluten and soy free, as would the salad course. The second course, the cheese, would probably be a problem. The dessert course, which is melted chocolate with fruit or pieces of cake might also have gluten, but I don't think a soy allergy would be a problem, except with any dipping sauces, which could be avoided.
Sorry, do not know the answer to that.
Although most sophisticated restaurants have accommodations for food allergies, I would never want to represent something for the restaurant that may be inaccurate or misleading. I would call them and ask them directly and I'm sure they can give you specifics about their handling of food in the kitchen that I could never answer as a consumer.
