Hi, I was on half board too when we visited earlier this year. However I do think there is no need to include any meal plans as the restaurants are just about the same price as what u are paying for half/ full board (i.e. Won't save you a lot). It will be better if you do not include any meal plans and just pay as you go when you arrive to allow more flexibility. Also if u are on meal plan it limited your choices as you need to pay extra for going to one of their nicest restaurants. for half board you can only have buffet in one of their restaurants and that's it. If you need to eat in any other places you need to pay a surcharge. Maybe you can refer to my review earlier.

Water sports are not very pricey in Maldives standard. But if you are staying close to house reef you can see a lot already so we didn't join any of their tours.

Hope this helps.

Yes I wouldn't bother to upgrade to be honest not unless you love to drink all day... Water in the rooms, and room service available when ever you want. One thing I would take is a pair of neoprene diving boots/ socks you can get them off the internet, we always take ours and glad we did here it's a walk out to the house reef and over some dead broken up coral ..without these it would hurt your feet. The boots last for years too. We also took our own face mask and snorkels but that's just our thing. Dive centre provides these and fins free. Don't bother with soap, shampoo conditioner all provided and of good quality. We tipped our room boy every day and it paid too he really made sure we had what we wanted. Under water camera/video is fun too especially to capture the turtles. Ooo chocolate.. You can store it in the fridge... Enjoy you holiday. Best wishes.

You won't need full board we had plenty using half board ..there are two restaurants to use ..one the main on excellent food every day and large choice , to suit all tastes ..then there's falhuma restaurant out on a jetty , fantastic experience , with supplement well worth going to short walk away

We went half board, we choose to eat in the fine dinning and paid extra. However we eat loads and breakfast, snack lunch and eat loads for dinner so we used our credit for lunch/dinner towards the other restaurant in the evening, Drinks are what you would expect to pay in a good restaurant here. Email the resort and ask for a sunset villa/room , take good sun screen .. It was very hot although the spa sold clarins products. If using the fine dinning men need long trousers. Look after your guy who does your room, it really pays to look after him. Check out departure time/check out time, and check that other guests are not leaving 2.5 hours after you've going, and if so complain. We had a 3.30am check out! Have a great holiday.

Hi - it is illegal to take alcohol to the Maldives ( so don't buy any in duty free as it will be confiscated, or you could receive a big fine) also not sure about taking snacks from another country .... The mini bar in your room has snacks, and if you upgrade to all include these are included... We both like to enjoy wine/ champagne etc on vacation and upgrading to all inclusive just meant no hidden costs ... If you don't drink much and don't eat lunch maybe stick to half board

Hi - sorry for delay! I think it's worth upgrading to all inclusive ( especially if you want to have alcohol... The wines/champagne/prosecco included were great) normally I wouldn't go all inclusive but it's worth it here.

Helpful tip - if you're staying in an ocean villa - ask for one on the sunset side ( windier - but often welcome in the heat) I presume the water sports are expensive... But this is definitely not the type of vacation to count your pennies ... Just go and enjoy this wonderful place and everything it has to offer!
