Why is there an umbrella fee when guests pay resort fees? How much is the umbrella fee?
I wound check on VRBO and try to find an owner renting out one of their rooms at that resort that includes the umbrellas and chairs with the rental property. We are staying at Maravilla Resort and the owner we are renting from includes two chairs and two umbrellas with the room and that can save you $20-$40 a day if you can find a room that has the chairs included.
25 per day they make it separate
That is there way to earn more money. $35
you can not put other chairs or umbrellas in front of resort chairs. Even if you rent from VRBO it does not include chair rental. there still is a lot of room to lay on beach and enjoy the view.
The beach service is a company called La Dolce Vita and they operate independently from Pelican Beach Resort. If you go to the pelican-beach website under beach-service you will see all of the rates. Umbrella and 2 chairs are $30 per day, but if you pay for 5 days you get the sixth day free, so basically comes out to $25 per day. If you purchase the 5 day rental, they will move you to the front row before someone who purchases by the day and your spot is reserved. While this may sound expensive, it is a small price to pay to avoid a sunburn that will ruin your vacation. I saw some folks who brought umbrellas similar to those on sale at the Winn-Dixie for $8, but a little wind turns them inside out and blows them down the beach and everyday there were cheap umbrellas like this sitting next to the trash cans. Hope this helps.
Umbrella fees take effect March 16 once the snowbirds leave. Many don't like this and I agree. But it's a company many hotels use and set the rates????
